A huge thank you to Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Woodforest for partnering with us to host CAMO Rescue for an Easter Rescue Eggstravaganza!! Brooke and her amazing team accomplished so much good today 🥰

We had a new volunteer sign up, which is always one of our main goals. We also had several adoption applications filled out, lots of interest, and a huge bonus: Walker was adopted by a very happy little girl ❤️ Happy Gotcha Day, Walker! 🥳

Our rescue events are focused on growing our network of volunteers and fosters, along with increasing awareness and offering education. Adoptions are a huge bonus and we are thrilled to share that several dogs were adopted into their forever homes at this event!

NEW UPDATE: Fundraising was incredibly successful and the cost of the surgery has been covered!! He is having surgery this morning. God is so good 🙌 In over 20 years of rescue, I have never seen a situation work out like this. That Scar's owner was found before it was too late, that so many people rallied to help him, and that Betsy even saw him in the first place..... This whole situation is nothing short of a miracle. I'm hoping to get to visit Scar after he is home and healing, and will post an update if/when that happens.

UPDATE: Owner was found and has started a GoFundMe to help offset the cost of surgery. Scar has a broken leg and broken pelvis, but stands a very good chance with surgery 🙌

Hoping someone recognizes this sweet boy. He was hit by a car on 1488 and he does not have a chip. Animal control has him now and I'm praying his family will be found before it's too late. Please call me if you recognize him! 713.742.2775
