The rescue industry is out here begging and pleading for help... while inflating egos the size of Texas.

They want to talk about burnout? Well let’s also talk about:

👉 Rescues that can’t place animals because the adopter didn’t meet some impossible emotional purity test.
👉 Dogs returned or rehomed because no one taught them how to live in a family home — just how to adapt to their rescuers needs/environment.
👉 And the “mascot rescues” — y’all know who we're talking about. Pulling the most unsavable cases not to save them… but to fundraise off their suffering. That’s not a rescue. That’s manipulation.

These animals deserve better than your martyrdom!

We need to support more of the rescues doing the hard, quiet, thankless work— Saving the savable. Placing pets. Training them. Being honest with themselves and with the community about what they can safely take on and accomplish.
Because this isn’t about who’s the saddest or the most sacrificial. It’s about getting these animals into forever homes— not forever limbo.
