Meet Toby 💙🐾

This sweet 4-month-old rescue puppy gave us quite the scare after testing positive for parvo — a serious and highly contagious virus that affects puppies, especially those who aren’t fully vaccinated yet. Symptoms can include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and dehydration, and without fast treatment, parvo can become life-threatening.

Thankfully, Toby received CPMA treatment and started feeling MUCH better! 🎉

So, what is CPMA?
CPMA (Canine Parvovirus Monoclonal Antibody treatment) is a newer treatment designed to help puppies fight the parvo virus faster by giving their immune system targeted antibodies to attack the infection. Think of it like sending in a superhero team to help their little bodies battle the virus. 💪🐶

Because Toby’s family acted quickly and got him the care he needed, this brave little guy is now wagging his tail, feeling stronger, and soaking up all the love. 🥰

Parvo awareness is so important:
✔️ Vaccinate puppies on schedule
✔️ Avoid high-risk public areas before full vaccination
✔️ Watch for symptoms early
✔️ Seek veterinary care immediately if your puppy seems sick

Toby is proof that early action saves lives. 💙

Drop some ❤️ for Toby and share your puppy pics in the comments — we’d love to see them!

Open play with your dog is safest when they have reliable recall, respond to basic cues, and are in a secure, enclosed area. 🐶 Before unclipping the leash, make sure your dog will come when called, can refocus on you around distractions, and is not likely to run toward people, wildlife, roads, or other dogs.

If your dog tends to ignore cues, bolt, guard toys, or become overstimulated, more training may be needed before off-leash play is a good idea. A good rule of thumb: if you’re not confident you can call your dog back right away, it’s not the right time for open play yet. 🐶💉 Puppy Party Alert! 💉🐶

These adorable little faces stopped by today for their DHPP booster vaccines — and they totally stole our hearts! 🐾❤️

The DHPP vaccine is one of the most important ways to protect puppies as they grow. It helps guard against:
🐕 Distemper
🦴 Hepatitis
🫁 Parainfluenza
💩 Parvovirus (the scary one we really want to avoid!)

Puppies need a series of boosters because their immune systems are still developing, and each visit helps build stronger protection against these serious illnesses. Think of it as leveling up their superhero shield! 🦸‍♂️🐾

Plus… let’s be honest… puppy vaccine visits also mean extra cuddles, kisses, and treats around the clinic 🥰

If your puppy is due for boosters, give us a call — we’d love to help keep your furry family member happy, healthy, and protected! 🐕✨

💧 Is your dog drinking enough water? A good rule of thumb: about 1 oz per pound of body weight daily. But things like heat, activity, and diet can change that! Noticing big changes in thirst? That can be a sign something’s up. Let’s check it out: (706) 342-2955

Dehydration can sneak up on pets faster than many people realize, especially during hot weather or when they’ve been vomiting or having diarrhea. ☀️🐶 Common signs to watch for include dry or sticky gums, tiredness, sunken eyes, a decreased appetite, heavy panting, and skin that doesn’t bounce back quickly when gently lifted.

If your pet seems off, isn’t drinking well, or is showing several of these signs, it’s a good idea to have them checked sooner rather than later.
