The City of Madison Webster Animal Shelter is a state of the art, climate controlled "no kill" shelter which provides boarding for homeless and abandoned pets. The shelter is located at 525 Post Oak Road in Madison, MS. Adoption hours are Monday-Saturday, 11am - 5pm and 11am - 3pm on Sundays. The telephone number is 601-605-4729. When considering an individual or family pet, citizens are encourage

d to consider adoption of one of our community's rescued animals. The animals are eagerly awaiting a loving home. A pre-adoption form is available for those who wish to apply for adoption of a pet. There is a $100 adoption fee for dogs, $25 for cats, and $75 for kittens which helps to provide for the continued support of the center so it can continue to provide rescue services for abandoned and neglected animals. We are so grateful to the C Spire team for coming out and spending time with our shelter animals. Thank you for walking our pups, loving on our cats, and giving them the attention and care they so deserve. Morning Dog Walkers 🐶

We're looking for volunteers to help out tomorrow (and Friday) from 8am to 10am. While we clean, you'll be walking our pups and giving them a little love.

Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and have some experience walking dogs. If you're under 18, a parent will need to sign a quick permission form. No need to call ahead, just show up at 8am and come on in! We truly appreciate your support.

He was adopted yesterday but got away, please keep an eye out for him. Lost on Poinciana Drive in Jackson, MS 39211.

He is very friendly to humans and dogs, but hes terrified of everything and has spent most of his life in the shelter. If you see him please do not chase him and do not grab him by the collar so it doesnt come off.

He is a solid black lab/pit mix. His collar is solid neon green. He is neutered.

Meet Yoda 🐶

He’s our wise, toy loving hound/lab mix - and while his paperwork says he’s 2, Yoda is definitely more of an old soul. He absolutely adores people and does especially well with kids. He’s happiest when soaking up attention or proudly carrying around whatever toy he’s found on his way back to his kennel (and trust us, he always finds one). Toys are his thing, you’ll rarely see him without one in tow. When it comes to other dogs, Yoda can be a little particular. He’s done well with calmer pups but isn’t a fan of high energy chaos. We’re still unsure how he feels about cats.

This sweet guy is simply looking for a peaceful home where he can relax, be loved, and continue his lifelong quest to collect all the toys. If you’ve got a soft bed, a kind heart, and maybe a squeaky or two, Yoda will fit right in.

He has been neutered, is heartworm positive (we cover the treatment), and is up to date on all general vaccines (rabies included). The adoption fee is $100, we can only accept cash or check. Come visit him and call if you have any questions 601-605-4729

Meet Cups 🐶

Cups is our one year old shepherd mix with a heart so big, it barely fits in her kennel - she’ll even reach her paw through the bars just to pet the other dogs walking by! She’s playful, people-loving, and absolutely full of joyful energy.

While she hasn’t joined any playgroups just yet, she seems determined to make some dog friends and lights up whenever another pup comes near. Whether she’s bouncing around the yard or gently nosing a new friend through the fence, Cups brings a little spark of happiness everywhere she goes. She’s still got a bit of puppy in her (curious, goofy, and always ready to play) but she’s also incredibly affectionate and sweet-natured. We don't know how she is with cats but shes done well with kids and loves people!
