Coming from recovery and now working at FORGE, a recovery center, Makenzie spent a beautiful afternoon with us at the ranch and what happened next was something really special.

Makenzie was completely authentic. He opened his heart, slowed down, and simply was and the animals mirrored that energy 100%. You don’t see Kaddie like this very often.

There was no forcing the moment. No trying to make something happen.

Just trust. Presence. Connection.

There’s something about being around the mustangs that makes everything else feel a little quieter.

No rush. No expectations. Just open space, fresh air, curious eyes, and the kind of connection that doesn’t require words.

Sometimes peace looks like standing in a pasture with a mustang beside you.

Sometimes healing looks like simply being present.

And sometimes, you just need a place where you can breathe.

There’s something powerful about simply being still among them. Sitting together, sharing the same space and energy… and then being able to brush them while they stand there completely relaxed, peaceful, and trusting.

No force. No pressure. Nothing to prove.
Just human and Mustang enjoying the moment together.
