The ugly
Bella is an abuse case, was starved, does not prefer men, can be dog aggressive ( very dominant female attitude), not for children as she herds them too aggressively. Will bite when you move too fast. Stalks men she doesn’t trust ( and has bitten them) Doesn’t like car rides. She resource guards toys and food.
The nice
Bella knows sit, stay, roll over, wait, fetch, does well in her crate, likes hiking, would make an amazing farm dog. Always happy to see her human.
She is up to date on rabies and is fixed.

Let's discuss large breeds. Newphies, pyranese ect.

I have a few newphies on a 2 month schedule, I charge 200$ & they take me 3hours. A bath & blowout & trim is 200-250$.. but if I only see a newphie 1-2x a year the amount of undercoat that is compacted & the length of the coat along with the matting, it's necessary to give a haircut , dashed the undercoat & removal of Mats before a bath is given. That will take easily 2-3hours. So if I only see a newphie 1-2x a year expect 400-500$ for a grooming or we can do it in 2 sessions.

$250 for a haircut /dashed. 2.5-3hours
$250 for a bath. 2.5-3h

A poodle/doodle starts at 120$ for a 4-6week schedule. On a schedule i can give a haircut instead of a shave.

The more matted the dog is the more expensive it will cost. 120-160$

Good morning! Spring is almost here! I know every dog needs a good grooming this time of year.

I want to discuss pricing a little bit so your not shocked when im more than expected on a dog i may only see 1-2x during the year.

I have a large amount of customers that have their dogs on a 1, 2 or 3 month schedule. Let's use a golden retriever for my example. I charge 100$ for a grooming on a every 4-6week cycle. A golden I see every 6-8 weeks i charge 110-120$. If I get a golden every 6 months, I would charge closer to 150$.

It's a very big process, & the longer between grooms the more work I have before I can even give a bath. Mat removal & a dashed is necessary before their bath.
A golden I see once a month takes me a minimum of 1hour 15min- 1h30min ,, that same dog if I saw every 6 months would easily add 1hour to my grooming time.
