Oh my gosh, the sideways feeder!

Everyone has full bellies today! We started out with our puppy gruel and then we had a massive clean up. The whelping box got a good clean and mama got fed and had exercise and now she is back for a little top off. ❤️ Misty Maple Labradors

In the last couple days these little cuties have put on more weight, learned how to toddle around better, found their voices and are just now starting to play with each other. It's so adorable to see fat little chunky puppies try to play and wrestle. 😂
They are just the sweetest bunch.

We started puppy gruel yesterday and so far so good. The babies are staying full longer! Woohoo! and they're learning how to lap up the very thin, rich mixture I made. Even only doing 2 x 2 it's still pretty messy but still much better than a 12 puppy free for all. 😂

This gives Miss Ella a little more time to replenish her milk before they are crying and calling for her once again.

Wow. I'm so blessed and excited by all of the wonderful people that have reached out, shared about their lives and expressed interest in welcoming these beautiful babies from Journey and Ella into homes and hearts. 🙏❤️ As of today we only have two precious boys still open. If you are on my wait-list for a black lab but would like to switch to yellow before these two are 📃, please reach out.

A few sweet pictures from yesterday evening of my hubby helping while I made dinner for my human family. 😅

On my wish list is a designated laundry room with two washers and dryers to handle all of the towel changes!

If you can believe it, in the first picture, that's only seven of these precious babies!! 😄🙏❤️
Imagine five more trying to get a spot!

In the last couple days I've gone back to shift feeding with only 7 to 6 on at a time and just trying to make it less overwhelming. I think once we start with the goat's milk gruel today and we have some full bellies it will help give Ella some relief on the milk production. I'm giving Ella at least six meals a day, lots of water, lots of extras but I'm just not seeing it move very quickly into milk production and I don't want to overload her system. She's such a sweet girl and such a good Momma.

Here we are, day 17! I am very happy with how healthy all of these babies are looking. Everyone's eyes are open, they're walking, we've been working on nail trimming, back time, and rounds and rounds of feeding. They are eating up Ella's milk faster than she can make it so I may start doing some very thin goat's milk supplementing earlier than I was planning. 🙏😄 I just want to see a little more excess chub on them day to day. I love seeing them start to be playful with each other, snuggly and very content. Misty Maple Labradors
