If so, your cat may have osteoarthritis (OA) and may qualify for a stem cell clinical study.
What is OA and why stem cells?
• OA is a joint disease that causes pain, inflammation, swelling, and stiffness. It is common as cats age. In the joint, there is loss of healthy cartilage which progresses over time. Cartilage acts as a shock absorber in the joint, so loss of
this protection causes a reduction in mobility.
• Current drugs on the market may help with symptoms but do not target the destructive process within the joint.
• Stem cells not only target the symptoms but provide fuel for the body’s cartilage and joint(s) to be able to heal naturally.

• OA in cats can be hard to spot, since they often hide their pain.
• What may look like “slowing down” or “getting older” could actually be a sign of joint discomfort.
• Your veterinarian can perform a full check-up, including a physical exam and x-rays, to look for signs of OA.

• You will be asked to sign a consent prior to screening.
