Here at the Pet Beauty Shop we groom and board dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes. We have been serving the community since 1994. We are by appointment only so please call us for all you grooming and boarding needs.

🐾Breed Spotlight🐾 series. This one is all about those sweet Shih Tzus!

Did you know these little lions were bred to sit on emperors' laps and look fabulous doing it? Here are a few grooming tips for keeping your Shih Tzu royal-ready:

✂️ Their long, luxurious coat grows continuously and tangles easily—routine brushing at home is helpful, but regular professional grooms are key to preventing painful mats that can hide skin issues underneath.

👁️ Many Shih Tzus have long, beautiful eyelashes—but if left unmanaged, those lashes or surrounding hairs can irritate their eyes. We can help keep their vision clear and lashes healthy during grooms.

🧽 Face folds and tear stains need gentle daily cleaning to prevent irritation.

💇‍♀️ Many owners opt for a “puppy cut” to keep their Shih Tzu comfortable and cute year-round.

🐶 Regular baths (every 3–4 weeks) help keep their skin healthy and coat soft.

👂 Don’t forget about those floppy ears—keep them clean and dry to prevent infections.

Keeping your pet’s nails trimmed isn’t just about looks—it’s an important part of their overall health and comfort.

We offer $10 nail trims Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM—no appointment needed. It’s quick, easy, and you can wait while we take care of it.

Woo, we had a full house today at Pet Beauty Shop! 😱

It was one of those wonderfully busy Pet Beauty Shop days where our dryers were humming, tails were wagging, and the snuggles were nonstop!

We did manage to grab a few fun action shots between baths and trims—but we want to thank everyone for understanding that sometimes we’re so focused on your pet’s care that we don’t get a chance to snap a picture of every freshly-fluffed face. 💛

If your pup isn't featured today, just know they looked adorable and were treated with the same love and attention we give to our own.
