2025 was another fun year for our team

Dylan; 1st WAFTC Spring Fun Trial
1st, 4th, 4th, Jam in the Qual
The recipient of WAFTC High Point
Qual Trophy for 2025

Joni; 3rd, 3rd, 4th Qual

Our team was a bit banged up this year but Joni and Dylan still managed to finish 3 trials together. We capped off our season with a 1st and 3rd in our last trial of the year.

This is back to back years our team was the recipient of the WAFTC High Point Qaul Trophy Joni 2024, Dylan 2025.

In 2026 we will be adding a couple of recruits from the Dylan x Joni litter to our truck. Dylan will be stepping up into deeper waters and continue to train for All Age Stakes while Joni will continue to chase her second Qual win.

Very excited for the New Year it’s been so much fun watching how this team continues to evolve.

Wraith is out of our Watermarks “Shadow” QA2 x Bentwood Cove’s “Kierra” breeding.

He is a littermate to Woodland Bay’s Forever Young “Dylan” QAA, Bentwood Cove’s Tails of Tully SH (8th series in 2024 NDC), and Shadow Hunters Sadie SH.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re so grateful for everyone that is apart of the Bentwood Cove family 🐾 From first gotcha days to training fields, hunting trips, and everyday adventures, watching our pups grow has been such a joy.

Scout is a 5 time Master National qualifier (already qualified for the 2026 MN), has a MN plate, and has 38 master hunt test passes. Since returning to competition in April 2024 (after a 2 year layoff) Scout has successfully completed approximately 90% of his master hunt tests.

Scout lives and trains with co-owner Rusty Haglund of Trigger Time Kennel. TTK is located approximately 1 hour north of Dallas Texas.

🎉 We are OVER THE MOON proud of Cova! 🎉

Our girl Bentwood Cove's Nicest Girl in Town — “Cova” just ranked #1 in AKC Fast CAT for Labrador Retrievers! 🥇🐾

What started as “let’s just see if she likes chasing plastic bunnies as much as she does real bunnies” has quickly turned into one of her greatest joys. We finally found a sport where her crazy truly pays off — and it shows every time she explodes off the line chasing that lure!

This girl loves the sport, and we are so excited to be along for the ride.

Here’s to many more runs, ribbons, and tail-wagging finishes! Go Cova! 💨💛🐾✨

🏁 FastCAT for Cova & Chief! 🏁

Last month, Cova and Chief participated in their first AKC FastCAT event — and they both had an absolute blast! It was exciting to see their natural athleticism and drive shine on the track.

Cova especially impressed us with her enthusiasm, giving it her all chasing that plastic bunny! 🐇 Her love for the sport was clear, and we’re thrilled to see both dogs enjoying this new outlet for their energy and instinct.

We’re looking forward to entering more events in the future and watching them continue to develop in this fun and rewarding competition. We will be in Dallas this month for 2 more runs!
