After such a long month of crummy weather, we were finally able to have our socialization Sunday classes! A lot of these dogs that have come for these classes were reactive/aggressive dogs towards people and other animals. It was a little warm but nonetheless dogs were able to interact and owners were able to learn and execute proper training methods to ensure all dogs were under control, calm, and happy. We typically deal with big dogs but what most people don't know is we work all dogs and that's including the smallest of small, Mr Puck. He may be small in stature, but his character is as big as a wolf. We have to give so much credit to his owner putting in so much work with him that he has blossomed into such an amazing dog.

There are some people in this world who abuse dogs that need to be handled the same way these pedophiles do. Taken out in a way the justice system fails to do daily.

This awesome young Dobe name Bane came in today and his story is horrific, but his badass owner saved his life. His "breeder" did their own cropping of his ears literally butchering them and becoming infected. Then spending 6 months in a crate most of day and night.

Today I had the pleasure of working him and testing him around our dogs. He is so damn smart and picked up on things so quickly. We are excited for his owner and him on their journey to greatness!

When you have a misunderstood Malinois who is dog reactive, has gone after other dogs, and high drive.............they stay the weekend with us and this is the result...... a playful, better balanced dog that had consistency, structure, and accountability put in place to wear very quickly the issues her owner has had dissolve.

Too many times we see people with high drive dogs whose lifestyle does not fit the dogs needs. It's those situations where we stress so deeply to do your research on dog breeds and not just get one because they look cool or you seen them in a movie. If your lifestyle is constantly working, constantly involved with kids sports, running around everywhere, taking vacations all the time, going out, or just being pure freaking lazy, then you should not get a high drive dog at all. You are failing the dog and having crazy expectations on how the dogs should be when your lifestyle does not work.
