Its snake feed day! We only feed frozen thawed here at the rescue. It's safer for the snakes and more humane.

We have lots on our calendar in the coming weeks. Between vet appointments, expos, NARBC Summer Show, work and preparing for some upcoming projects we have a packed schedule. Please consider the following:

๐Ÿ’œ We are currently CLOSED to all surrenders; if you need assistance placing your pet we do have other options for you!

Please remember while we try our best to accommodate everyone, we are just people.
We have a home and family to care for, we will always put the animals first however our time is also valuable. Thank you for your understanding.

Bonnie is one of our adoptable bearded dragons, and she has quite the story to tell.
When Bonnie first came to us, she had moderate MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease) and couldn't even hold up her front end, let alone walk. Every movement was a struggle.

Fast forward to today, and Bonnie runs around with confidence! Watching her transformation has been nothing short of incredible.
This little beardie is packed full of determination, grit, personality, and a zest for life. She keeps us laughing daily with her antics and never fails to brighten the room.

Bonnie doesn't let her past define her. She tackles every day with enthusiasm and a whole lot of attitude.
If we had room for another bearded dragon ambassador, Bonnie would never have made it onto the adoptable list. She's that special.

Bonnie will always have some physical reminders of her early struggles, but that doesn't slow her down one bit. What she lacks in perfect posture, she more than makes up for with heart.

Whoever adopts this amazing girl won't just be getting a bearded dragon. They'll be gaining a best friend for life. โค๏ธ๐ŸฆŽ

Our Fire Skink is very elusive and loves to hide. He burrows so much that we lovingly call his enclosure the box of dirt, because thats all you usually see. Apache has recently started coming out more. While he is still skittish in our presence its nice to see him make some progress!

Free choice handling allows reptiles to decide if, when, and how they want to interact with us. Instead of picking them up immediately, we give them the opportunity to approach on their own terms.

In this video, Pip the Leopard Gecko chooses to climb onto a hand voluntarily. This helps build trust and creates a more positive experience for both the animal and keeper.
While not every reptile will choose to interact every time, respecting their choice can reduce stress, improve confidence, and strengthen the bond between animal and caretaker.

One of the most rewarding parts of free choice handling is knowing that the interaction is truly the animal's choice. When a reptile willingly walks onto your hand or seeks out your company, it's a sign that trust has been built through patience, consistency, and respect. Those moments may take time to achieve, but they are incredibly rewarding because they are earned, not forced.
