Fun facts about our furry friends!🐶🐱🐴🐐🐑🐄🩷🐾 Pets have lots of cool, unique traits, these are just a few!
1) Each dog has a unique nose print, much like a person’s fingerprints! Cats do too!
2) Cats have very excellent hearing, being able to hear a wide range of frequencies. While humans can hear frequencies of up to 20,000 Hertz, cats can hear up to 64,000 Hertz.
3) Bunnies purr when happy and content, a lot like cats do!
4) Goats and sheep have rectangular pupils. Because they are prey animals, rectangular pupils are great for predator detection, as well as enhance light input and peripheral vision.
5) Dogs can be right-pawed, or left-pawed, just like humans! Dogs can have a preference for one paw over the other.
6) Cows produce a ton of saliva, up to 40 gallons per day on average.
7) Cats are really good at jumping. They can leap up to five times their height.
😎 Horses are obligate nasal breathers, which means they are only able to breathe through their nostrils, not their mouths.
9) Guinea pigs originated from South America, and they are not actually related to pigs, but are instead members of the rodent family.
10) Dogs use scent to interpret time. They can develop olfactory memories and are able to distinguish between old and new smells.
