We also want to give special recognition for the Grooming award. That honor reflects the beautiful work Anna did while she was here. Her talent and dedication made a lasting impact, and we truly wish her the very best as she builds her own shop.

He was supposed to die.

Mouse was sitting in a kennel at Kern County shelter with a label that said “Feral.” A word that almost cost him his life. A word that meant no one stopped to look twice.

But Mouse isn’t feral.

He is soft. He is gentle. He leans into your hand the second you touch him. He presses his head into your chest like he’s been waiting his whole life to feel safe. He climbs into your lap and melts.

Mouse was pulled from the shelter just before euthanasia. The moment he realized he was safe, he chose love.

He was adopted once. And returned.

The reason?

“He wanted to be on the couch with me.”
“He wouldn't let me use the bathroom alone.”
“He is constantly rubbing me.”

Leo is not too loving. His love is needed.

He follows you because he feels safe. He rubs against you because he is grateful. He curls up beside you because he has learned how quickly love can disappear.
