The evolution of a street dog from the moment he was rescued and slowly getting comfortable in his foster home…
Ducky was rescued off the street on 2/24. He came to us on 3/1. He was nervous, untrusting, completely insecure. It was very hard for him to respond so we kept a drag leash on him to start. He was not pressured to interact with us. We took it slow. He is finally jumping on the couch, snuggling with one of our other fosters and he’s relaxed! He was afraid of doorways when he first came. Now he knows he’s allowed inside (sad, right?) and he has decided that the couch is not so bad. His toothy smile is everything!
Large (18lb) chihuahua-ish mix. Healthy, approx 3 years old, good with other dogs & cats with proper introductions, loves gentle children, easy on leash, great in the car and not needy. He’s come so far and he is just a fabulous little man that deserves a loving, forever home.
Thank you Hope For Paws for saving him and letting us be part of his journey to a forever home.
Thank you Louie Shovelhead for tolerating all the animals I bring home. 😂
