I hate to burst y'all's bubble, but Lady and the Tramp is a lie.

Zoom and Daisy aren't about to share a plate of spaghetti. They can't even share a toy, let alone a noodle.

One dropped meatball would turn into a full-blown German Shepherd negotiation, complete with side-eye, dramatic huffing, and a debate over who saw it first.

The only thing Zoom and Daisy are sharing is the belief that whatever the other one has is obviously better.

We've always believed that dogs deserve more than just a kennel—they deserve room to be dogs.
That's why we're working on some exciting upgrades here at Hurst GSDs.

We're building a half-acre privacy-fenced play area where our shepherds can run, play ball, explore, and simply enjoy life. We're also planning a pond area and additional enrichment activities to keep our pack active, happy, and engaged.

For those who enjoy following our dogs' journey, we're looking into live-stream cameras so you can check in and watch the puppies and adults throughout the day as they play, learn, and interact with the pack.

When winter arrives, we're planning a 300-square-foot climate-controlled puppy playland so the fun doesn't stop when the temperatures drop.

One idea we're especially excited about is adding interactive treat dispensers that would allow visitors to remotely send a treat to the dogs while watching the live stream. We think it would be a fun way for people to connect with the pack from anywhere.

Everything we do is centered around the well-being of our dogs. They are family first, and creating an environment where they can thrive has always been our goal. We're excited to continue improving their world and bringing everyone along for the journey.

What feature would you be most excited to see—the live puppy cams, the interactive treat dispensers, the pond, or the climate-controlled puppy playland?

Watching these babies grow never gets old.

This beautiful girl here is from one of my Poppy litters, and it’s amazing to see how much they change from tiny puppies into confident, loving companions.

One of my favorite parts of this journey is getting to watch them grow alongside their families and seeing the bond that forms over the years.

From the very beginning, I do everything I can to give them a strong foundation filled with love, structure, confidence, and real-world experiences to help guide them through life.

A lot of who they become comes from their parents and the traits passed down through generations, but I also believe the environment matters just as much.

A happy, balanced pack helps create happy, balanced puppies. These babies are raised with love every single day, and it is something beautiful to watch carry on with them as they grow.

Today was Tuxedo’s big day. This sweet tuxedo-coated boy from Jade and Zeus’s litter headed off to his forever home.

Calm, laid back, and full of love, this little guy has always had a gentle soul and a quiet sweetness about him that made everyone fall in love with him.

Today also marks the end of another beautiful chapter for Jade and Zeus’s babies, as all of the puppies from this litter have now gone home to their forever families.

Watching these babies grow, play, learn, and bring joy to so many loving homes has been an incredible journey.

We are beyond thankful to every family that welcomed one of these sweet pups into their lives. Safe travels little man — your new adventure starts now.

Today was a big day for Mr. Green from Jade’s litter as he made his way to the Sunshine State and into the arms of his new family.

This big sweet boy was more than ready for his next adventure, already showing off his loving and gentle personality the moment he arrived.

One of the sweetest moments was watching him already connect and communicate with his new little human, settling in like he had always belonged there.

These are the moments that make it all worth it — seeing these babies grow from tiny pups into loyal companions bringing joy, comfort, and laughter to their families.

Mr. Green may have left the pack here at Hurst GSDS, but he’s already starting his next chapter exactly where he was meant to be.

The funny thing is the dogs treat all of it like it is completely normal. Loud engines, bouncing around, chaos everywhere, and Poppy is just sitting there acting like she pays the property taxes.
People ask how the dogs become so confident and calm. Simple — they grow up experiencing life instead of hiding from it. Around here the shepherds are part of the adventure.
Poppy’s probably already planning her next upgrade.

Does your shepherd listen to you, or are they wild and non-compliant?

Generally, a shepherd requires structure, consistency, and guidance. While it is perfectly okay for them to be wild and have a good time, they also must understand there is a place and time for everything.

Management of a pack requires everyone to know where they stand, and it is important to always mean what you say. I am able to take multiple dogs out at a time, and they still mind and respect boundaries.

Why? Because from the time they are babies through adulthood, I work with them continuously. Just like people, dogs learn through life lessons, repetition, and consistency. It is not always about constantly telling them what to do, but helping them understand their place, their purpose, and their value within the pack.

When dogs know they matter and feel connected to you, they become far more willing and adaptable to listening and working alongside you.
