Ghiradelli had a sweet Halloween with her little pack of small dog companions 🎃

Ghiradelli is an 8 year old, 13 lb female chocolate chihuahua mix who came to us from the West LA Animal Shelter. She has had a remarkable journey from a life of neglect and never seeing the world to now experiencing so much. She used to be extremely reactive to other dogs, and while she still is on her training and socialization journey, she has made dog friends and has started to come around to the idea that humans can be pretty chill.

With her foster, she is super sweet and affectionate, but she needs to build up that trust with her person. But we love to see her growth and can’t wait for her to find her forever family to help her continue to grow 🥹

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED BY NEXT WEEK! 🚨

Eliana is a sweet 9-week-old Cairn Terrier mix recently rescued from the West LA Animal Shelter who needs a foster hero! ❤️

She is a puppy in the truest sense of the word! She’s playful, curious, full of energy, and loves to cuddle and give kisses. She needs someone who can give her a soft place to land, with plenty of patience, playtime, and guidance as she learns and grows.

Can you step up and be Eliana’s hero? Even a temporary home could make all the difference! 🙏

We have even more great news this week. Our dearest, sweet Roxey girl has been ADOPTED!! ♥️🥹🙌

She now has the best and most loving family where she will be safe and cherished forever and we could not be happier. Roxey has been on such a journey, going from being red listed at the South LA Animal Shelter to then having the best fosters who helped rehabilitate her to build her strength and endurance and get treatment and now to having the most perfect home anyone could ask for.

All our volunteers are crying for her, she deserves only the best and we are so grateful that she found it 💕

We had an amazing event yesterday where THREE dogs went home with their forever families!

Congratulations Cali, Tw***ie, and Timmy (all West LA Animal Shelter alums!) on finding your homes, we are so excited for the happy lives ahead of you 🥹

Putting up the bat signal and calling for urgent help! We just pulled a sweet two month old puppy, sweet Eliana, from the West LA Animal Shelter and she urgently needs a temporary foster with no other pets as there is a chance she has ringworm.

We are awaiting test results which means, if you foster her, you will need to keep her confined to a small area of your home (we can provide a pen and crate!) and you will need to handle her with gloves.

She is sweet as can be and just needs a soft place to land until she is cleared to be around other pets, at which point she will return to her current foster.

Meet Reggie! 🤍 🖤

Reggie is a 1-year-old, 58-lb Dalmatian/Pit mix with the sweetest little heart-shaped nose and a so much love to give!

This poor guy spent two weeks living on the streets of LA, staying close to the same bush outside an apartment complex. Luckily, a kind stranger came looking for him and brought him to safety just before one of our recent heat waves.

Now settling into his foster home, Reggie is showing everyone what a smart, affectionate, and playful pup he is! He loves cuddling just as much as he loves lying at your feet. He’s great in the car and has even made a trip to the farmers market!

Here’s what we know about Reggie:
✅ Housebroken / potty trained
✅ Knows basic commands and is eager to learn
✅ Very treat motivated and intelligent
✅ Sweet, affectionate, and loves to cuddle
✅ Generally easygoing in new environments, though he can be shy at first
✅ Has done well meeting a cat through a screen door
🐾 Still has some playful puppy energy and is working on his leash manners!

Reggie would love a home with someone who can continue his training and give him plenty of opportunities to explore, play, and snuggle. The Dalmatian in him is a working breed, so he will thrive with someone who can give him a job! Whether that’s sports, running, or games, he will do amazing.

Reggie is truly a wonderful companion who’s just waiting for his forever person.

Meet Tw***ie!

Tw***ie is a 3 year old male Cairn Terrier mix that we pulled from the West LA Animal Shelter recently.

This boy is a perfect family dog, young and friendly with all!

✅ Housebroken / Potty trained
✅ Good with dogs
✅ Good with kids
✅ Leash trained
✅ Crate trained

He is a bundle of joy, very sweet and playful and just an overall amazing dog.
