⭐️Don’t forget your flea treatment!⭐️
Due to the extremely mild winter this year there has been an influx in fleas! We have had to send home multiple dogs home the last few months due to the presence of fleas. These pests can create BIG problems in your home as they lay multiple eggs a day in carpet, furniture and bedding which can turn into an infestation quickly. But there is a way to fight against them! Regular and monthly flea and tick preventative helps keep these pests off your pets!
Here are some tips and tricks to flea prevention:
🐾 avoid baths 3 days prior/post topical treatment to make sure it’s effective
🐾 not all treatment is equal (and some don’t work effectively) so be sure to purchase high quality, vet recommended treatments
🐾 fleas can be picked up from anywhere (dog parks, wild life in the backyard, clothing) even just five minutes outside can pick up a flea
🐾 all pets in the home should have treatment to keep an infestation from breaking out.
🐾 fleas can and DO survive at this altitude
