Elite level roadie, Marcel Cacdac ( on Instagram), joined me for a Sac to Portland run on 4-19-25! 7:30 a.m. to midnight, giving 14 more dogs a second chance at life through commitments made by South Coast Humane Society - the real one, Oldies But Goodies Senior Rescue, Jack Russell Rescue OWII, Peace For Pups,
Ruff Day Rescue, Creature Keeper Farm and Sanctuary 501 C3, PawsNetwork.org and Mountain Dog Rescue.

Now at Sound Image San Francisco / Clair Global, Marcel started his career as a professional touring sound engineer in 1997. Since then he's handled either or duties for powerhouses like: BB King, Jack White, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Lorde, , MGMT, CAKE, The Decemberists, Snoop Dogg, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Gary Clark Jr, just to name a few!

A big time dog lover through and through, Marcel has a senior pitty (Izzy) that he adopted from California Pit Bull Rescue as a puppy! 🥰👏🙏 So thank you, Marcel, for being a rescue dad and for spending your weekend helping save 14 more dogs at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding in California shelters! 🤜🤛🤝🤘

It's Da' Bears!♥️

Introducing Koala, Honey, (not really bears, but shhhh!) Grizzly, Polar and Panda. These darling bottle babies have been with foster mom for about 10 days and they are thriving. Feeding is stretched to 4 hours now so mom only has to get up once during the middle of the night.

Koala, Grizzly, Panda and Polar are males and then there's Ms. Honey.

They are approximately 4 weeks old now and will be accepting applications once they’re 8 weeks old.

Making a difference one animal at a time.

The fates intervened in a truly *SHOCKING* way on what should have been a mundane return trip from Portland! Instead, we crossed paths with The Phantom A.D. at a Maverik Adventure's First Stop gas station!!! 😱 THE PHANTOM and his lovely ghoulfriend were headed up towards Richland, WA, to begin his PNW tour!

As *FRIGHTENING* a figure as THE PHANTOM can be, it turns out he appreciates the work of Roadies and Rescues! So, despite my *FEAR*, I summoned the courage to ask for a selfie! And before we parted ways THE PHANTOM struck a *MENACING* pose next to our van as a *CHILLING* but *THRILLING* endorsement of our animal rescue efforts! Likewise, we give our enthusiastic endorsement to THE PHANTOM! His music is always on repeat in our rescue van because it keeps us *PSYCHED* on our long drives! We strongly encourage our friends throughout the PNW states to experience his *GHOULISH* rock and roll in person! Do not miss him on tour, starting tonight in the area! 🤘🧛‍♂️🤘🎸🎸🥁🎙️

4 years and 1,000+ shelter animals moved one step closer to the furever homes they deserve! This weekend is the 4 year anniversary of the Roadies & Rescues program! We spent that time moving 32 at-risk dogs from overcrowded shelters in California up the PNW. The day started at 6:45 a.m. and wrapped up at 12:15 a.m.

**** UPDATE BANDIT IS SAFE!!! I posted a pic in a post!!!!! The power of social media saved him!!!!***^

Must read the post in its entirety because
I know him best.. it’s really important because he needs a rescue.. he went from being a risk at my shelter to being at risk at an other extremely full shelter..

Bandit was adopted a year ago from our shelter.. we were full at the time and he had a time that I had to get him out by.. he did have a rescue secured but someone came and adopted him.. I now know they only adopted him to show everyone tney were his hero.. they didn’t want him they wanted wear the cape.. we have a adoption contract that if doesn’t work out they can bring him back within the year of adoption.. well they supposedly rehomed him.. I remind you he had a rescue secured before he was adopted..

I get a message with a pic.. Bandit was picked up as a stray on top of that he was hit by a car.. he has lost lots of weight..

When Bandit was surrendered he was kenneled from 8-12 hours a day in his previous home.. he doesn’t not do well in a kennel.. when he was the shelter he used his left paw to try and dig out of the kennel his left paw claws were down to nubs causing him to limp a lot.. now he is doing it with his right paw and now he is having to be sedated because is highly agitated casing more harm to his foot..

I am not going to name the shelter in the post because I don’t want anyone to come at them sideways.. tbe person you should be upset with is the person he was adopted by..

He is selective on dogs and that is problem getting him adopted so I hoping a rescue will come to his rescue and be his true hero..

Until I get affirmation I can post the shelter I am doing it this way..

24 more dogs rescued with a 33.5 hour trip from Sacramento to Blaine, WA, and back to Wilsonville, OR.
