Happy Earth Day, everyone! 🌎💚

We had an incredible time at Carolina Forest Elementary School, spending the day with their amazing students and sharing our passion for wildlife and wild places.

At Out of the Ark, we believe conservation begins with meaningful, exciting education—and that hands-on, safe encounters with animals can inspire a lifelong respect for the natural world.

Remember, small actions can lead to big change. When we all work together—whether it’s recycling, protecting habitats, or simply learning more about the animals around us—we can all be wildlife heroes.

We had a great day at Ten Oaks Elementary school’s first ever Career Day! We got to meet so many amazing students! Ryan spoke about his job as a wildlife conservationist and how even if choosing other career paths everyone can do their part for our wild world! Of course, students also got to meet Sunny our famous Burmese python too!

We always get asked about snake teeth during our programs! Here is a good shot of Sunny our Burmese python yawning first thing in the morning. No fangs or giant teeth for these guys! Small, rear facing teeth that help grab and hold on to prey.

Our wonderful reticulated python, Nagini, always takes the best photos! Reticulated pythons are very intelligent snakes, and the longest in the world! 🐍
