There's no other lesson program like Lionheart Stables! Drop what you're doing and come ride our beautiful horses. We can promise you will not want to leave!

We are home to 25 talented, show quality horses that vary at all different skill levels, though, are all safe and experienced. Through our show team, IEA Program and team, our pony program summer sessions, and our lesson program, the one thing alike is that our programs and teams are all built on camaraderie.

Lionheart Stables stands out from the rest for many unique reasons! We are open seven days a week with accommodations for all riders - morning, afternoon, and evenings. If you are busy with work or school or prior commitment, don’t fret, because we have the staffing and availability to work around your busy schedule and fit in your rides.

With several experienced and knowledgeable trainers, as well as an excellent team of safe yet talented and show quality school horses, we have all of the offerings to make your riding experience, even while working around a busy schedule, seamless. Our team wants you to succeed and enjoy the beauty of our farm, horses, and our sport!

Our farm is home to an indoor arena to allow for competitive riding all year long, a heated viewing lounge, bathrooms, and tack room, as well as a heated traveling tack trailer for competition purpose.

Our amenities include, but are not limited to:

🦁Climate-Controlled Bathrooms, Tack Room, and Viewing Lounge, as well as heated wash stalls
🦁Climate-Controlled Traveling Tack Trailer for our long competition days
🦁Two incredible trainers that boast years upon years of experience in disciplines from Hunter/Jumper to Dressage to Western Pleasure. Both have grand experience riding and competing, breaking and training young horses including OTTBs, and training riders of all levels. Our trainers have availability seven days a week, at nearly all times of the day, and the ability and aspirations to bring you to the level you wish to be at

🥕 Secret Lies - “Romeo”
9yo, 16.2hh OTTB gelding out of Frost Giant. Restarted by our facility owner at 4yo. Has done it all - Boyd Martin Clinics, eventing to jumper shows to Hunter paces to all kinds of trails. Always game for an adventure, brave! Has an excellent jump, solid rides and consistent. Can throw you a ride here and there if fresh but absolutely no malicious behavior, always wants to please. Unfortunately, we do not have the time and he deserves a person of his own. Sweet with good ground manners, clips, farrier and vet, trailers with ease. Requires a bit more of an advanced rider but once in a program is more relaxed.

🥕 Bye Felicia - “Felicia”
16yo, 16.2hh Holsteiner mare out of Capone I. Jumped the bigger fences in her career and has been in our program, teaching riders and excelling at shows. Has done eventing in the past. Comfortable, point and shoot with no stop. Has great ground manners, clips, farrier and vet, and trailers with ease, but is marish, goes great in a herd of mares but isn’t happy around geldings. Otherwise, easy going and very talented. Super flashy! Deserves a person of her own to love and pamper her or a program that has more riders for her.

🥕 Lucky Charms - “Lucky”
Approximately 16hh, teenage OTTB gelding. Smaller frame with longer build, the sweetest soul with no spook, no stop, no poor behavior. Prior to us, Lucky worked with some excellent riders and was a trick horse. He now has been a valued member of our lesson program, as well our IEA Team. He rides safely through trails, water, jumps courses and takes the beginner riders and kids through anything. Always patient and willing. Lucky has traveled to numerous competitions with us. Excellent ground manners, clips, farrier and vet, and trailers with ease. Does crib but limited with collar. Would like a step down job, happy with kids and beginners doing flat and small jumping.

🥕 Daisy Duke - “Daisy”
Approximately 15.2hh teenage OTTB mare. Short backed, more of a petite build, but incredibly athletic. Prior to us, she was eventing and jumping 1.20m courses with ease. She is a more forward, hotter ride but has absolutely NO stop, no rear or buck, no malicious behavior. Extremely brave and always game. Excellent ground manners, clips, farrier and vet, and trailers with ease. Has had excellent placings in several jumper shows with one of our junior riders, always forgiving and rides through trails, river, anything you ask. Unfortunately does not fit in our program and deserves to have a more consistent job. Doesn’t mind being ridden by a few individuals, but could require a bit more riding ability than a beginner.

🥕 Duke
10yo, approximately 15.3hh QH gelding. Prior to our facility, Duke has excellent Western experience, including being a ranch horse. He has been working in our lesson program with English attire and is great with the kids, has been to several shows with us and has had great ribbons in the pleasure with a beginner! Valued member of our IEA Team and has participated in IEA Shows, safe and quiet on the trails. Very kind with great ground manners, clips, farrier and vet, and trailers with ease. Would be excellent in a program or with a rider of his own. Still working on jumping but very willing to try.

4yo Miniature Pony Paint Gelding. He is green but has been backed under saddle. Very sweet, gentle, and super flashy. Needs a person or a program that can give him more attention, he can be a great asset to the barn

While Lionheart Stables is widely known for our amazing lesson program and summer camp, we also specialize in taking your child to the next level. All of our children advance safely and at a more rapid level than they have ever advanced before!

Though one of our main focuses at Lionheart Stables is our outstanding lesson program, our largest interest and specialization is in taking your child to the next level. Throughout our large program, all of our riders will work towards advancing at a level they have yet to advance at before, one that is safe and organized, yet works towards faster-paced improvement. No matter your age, prior experience level, or goals, we are able to individualize a program that will work towards you and what you are looking to accomplish.

With our well-established team, we will organize a meeting with each and every family and team member at our facility. Throughout our initial meeting, we will look to organizing and individualizing a specific program which will work towards reaching your goals and creating future goals. With each meeting thereafter, we will look to see how the program is working for each individual rider and make adjustments where necessary. We educate our riders in every aspect of the sport possible.

Currently, your goals may only be based upon what you have seen and heard. Though, once our individualized program begins and you and your family are further educated on the training process, your current and future goals will be based upon knowledge and experience in the sport.

We have worked hard and continue to work hard to establish a staff that is well-educated, experienced, and following a shared goal; helping our riders succeed in an appropriately designed program for themselves as an individual, their abilities, and their goals.

Everyone can afford to show at Lionheart Stables with our new, reduced show packages!

While most facilities enforce riders to lease or own a horse to compete, or play the gamble of if a horse will be available for the rider to compete that week, Lionheart Stables has twenty safe, show quality school horses that are able to be worked with at home and then taken to both schooling and rated competitions. With our new, reduced show packages, we encourage all of our riders to compete on our team, and at an affordable cost.

With an individualized program, all of your time, efforts, and hard work in training will shine through in the show ring. The ability to compete is an excellent reward with the Lionheart Show Team. We focus on all factors, not just the color of the ribbon, but the many accomplishments and loads of success our riders leave the ring smiling about.

Lionheart Stables is pleased to announce we are currently inviting riders with interest in being a working student to our vastly expanding program! With summer approaching and as our program continues to grow, our full-service facility is in need of a select few individuals to be a part of our elite team.

Our program is unique in its offerings and differs from other local facilities. We take pride in our working students and look to helping them expand their expertise and experience all while enjoying a positive and family-friendly atmosphere. Our facility hosts riders from beginners to intermediate to advanced riders of all age range, helping them grow from the walk to the rated competitions.

Our facility hosts a large and diverse variety of horses that are a part of our lesson program, IEA Teams, as well as our show teams. Horses are owned and managed by facility - not a boarding facility. Working students will learn from our facility owners, trainers, and other team members.

Working students will be involved in all appropriate aspects of the barn and taught in a safe, patient manner. Working students will be asked several diverse tasks, including, but not limited to;
- Helping with Lesson Students - Grooming, Tacking Up & Tacking Down, Teaching Riders the Ropes
- Feed, Hay, & Water
- Potential Turn-In & Turn-Out
- Grooming & Bathing Horses
- Cleaning Tack
- Helping with Barn Chores
- Ability to Travel to Shows to Help

In return for their efforts, working students will gain invaluable knowledge, incomparable experience, and of course, the ability to ride and lesson on our extensive group of show quality horses.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for several lucky students! We are looking for a majority of flexible hours, including evenings after school and weekends. Our facility takes pride in growth, responsibility, becoming a horseman, and most importantly, being able to flourish and learn in a positive, healthy, and supportive environment.

For parents looking to accommodate their children this summer while school is out, summer camp is an excellent experience. Our Lionheart Stables’ Summer Sessions continue to teach both new and recurring riders year after year. Though we incorporate both social and fun activities, we as well work towards giving our riders the opportunity to learn responsibility as a rider and animal caretaker and to be educated upon new topics. Our riders enjoy the opportunity to spend time with fellow riders in their age range who later become friends, learn helpful work ethic, and enjoy fun times in the beautiful, outdoor scenery!

Lionheart Stables is a full service equestrian facility located in the heart of picturesque Long Valley, New Jersey. Our facility hosts incredible amenities and opportunities for beginner riders to advanced competitors. We have the ability to host both young and older riders, recurring or returning clientele, from those looking to advance up the levels to competition or looking for a new, fun activity.
