This week’s Pet of the Week is Walter, an 11-month-old Golden Retriever/Lab mix who has been coming to see us since January alongside his beloved older sister, Ella. Walter is the definition of a love bug. Whether it’s a person or a dog, if it moves, Walter wants to be its friend! He’s always running up for pets, cuddles, and any extra attention he can get. His sweet personality and happy-go-lucky attitude make him impossible not to love. Being just 11 months old, Walter is still very much a puppy at heart. He’s constantly on the go, chasing friends, playing games, exploring the yard, or even entertaining himself when no one else is around. Walter approaches every day with excitement and enthusiasm, and we’ve never seen him have a bad day. One of our favorite things about Walter is how much he adores his sister, Ella. He may be in the middle of playing with his friends, but if he can’t spot Ella, he’ll immediately pause his fun to make sure she’s nearby and having a good time too. Their bond is truly special to watch. Walter’s joyful spirit, endless affection, and caring heart make him such a wonderful part of our daycare family. We cherish every second he graces us with his presence and can’t wait for many more adventures with this sweet boy! Congratulations, Walter!

This week’s spotlight shines on the beautiful Ella, a 1½-year-old Golden Retriever who has been brightening our daycare since April! Ella comes to daycare alongside her best friend and brother, Walter, whom she absolutely adores. If you spot Walter, chances are you’ll see Ella galloping right behind him. Whether they’re diving into the pool, playing chase, or engaging in an all-day game of tackle, these two are the definition of sibling goals. While Ella loves spending time with her brother, she’s also quite the social butterfly. She especially enjoys playing with the other female dogs in the yard. The boys are alright, but Ella seems to think the girls know how to have a little more fun! One of Ella’s favorite hobbies is finding sticks and turning them into her own special project. She’ll proudly carry them around, toss them into the pool for a good cleaning, drag them back out, and then finish the job by rolling them around in the dirt. It’s safe to say Ella has her own unique process! Ella is a precious soul with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. Her excitement, playful nature, and sweet personality make her a favorite among both dogs and staff. We always look forward to seeing her walk through our doors and can’t wait for many more adventures with this wonderful girl.

This week’s spotlight shines on Blue, a 1-year-old German Wirehaired Pointer who has completely stolen our hearts! Although Blue has only visited us a few times, her growth has been amazing to watch. During her very first stay, she was understandably nervous and preferred to stick close to her sister, Bailey. This time around, however, Blue truly blossomed into her own personality, and what a fun personality it is! Blue lives life at full speed. If there’s a dog willing to play, you’ll find her wrestling and romping around in Medium Play. If nobody is available, no problem—Blue is perfectly happy throwing her own ball around just so she can chase it herself. She’s even been caught trying to pluck leaves off the trees for entertainment! No matter what she’s doing, Blue is always on the move and always having fun. When it comes to mealtime, Blue is just as enthusiastic. She’ll sprint into her kennel, gobble up every last bite of food, and then sit there looking for seconds as if she hadn’t just finished her entire meal! Blue is a burst of energy, happiness, and curiosity wrapped into one adorable puppy. We have loved getting to see her confidence grow and her playful personality shine through. We’re so glad Blue chose to share her excitement and joy with us, and we can’t wait for her next adventure at daycare! Congratulations, Blue!

This week’s Pet of the Week is our sweet girl Luna! Luna is an 11 year old lab who has been coming to us since 2015, and what a fun decade it has been with her. Over the years Luna has become such a special part of our family and everyone always looks forward to seeing her come through the doors. Even though Luna is one of our older ladies, she still acts like the happiest little puppy in the world. She’s constantly chasing around her friends and somehow manages to keep up with everybody all day long. Her excitement for life is contagious and she always brings so much joy and energy into the play yards. Luna is definitely a true water dog. The second the pools come out she gets beyond excited and immediately starts splashing around. Whether it’s her dog friends or the staff, nobody is safe from getting soaked when Luna is having pool time fun. She loves every second of it and makes sure everyone else joins in too. One thing Luna never misses out on is meal time. Morning or dinner, she patiently sits by her kennel waiting to be let in so she can enjoy her food. She may be patient, but you can always tell how excited she is when it’s finally time to eat. We are so thankful to have spent the last 10 years with this amazing girl and can’t wait for many more memories with her. We love you Luna!

Our spotlight this week for pet of the week is the one and only Kimber! Kimber has been part of our boarding family since 2022, coming to stay with us off and on over the years, and we’ve enjoyed every second of it. At 12 years old, this sweet Lab may not be quite as playful as she was in her younger days, but she still has her moments! It all depends on the dogs around her. Kimber tends to gravitate toward older female dogs when it comes to playtime, though every now and then a puppy or two can convince her to join in on the fun. One thing about Kimber she knows exactly what she likes. When 6:30 rolls around, she’s more than ready to head into her kennel and sleep the night away. During the day, you can usually find her completely passed out somewhere around medium daycare, snoozing in all sorts of funny positions. Kimber is truly a beautiful soul, and we always look forward to every visit she grants us. She brings such a calm, loving presence, and we’re so lucky to have her as part of our pack.
