🚧 LOWA.org Website Update 8/31:

The transition to the new LOWA.org design is still underway. Due to the size and extensive amount of information on our website, the migration team was not able to complete the transition in one day as originally anticipated.

LOWA.org is an exceptionally large website, with extensive member resources, community information, and years of archived content that we maintain for our members. Moving all of this information to the new site requires additional time to ensure everything is transferred properly and is available when the new site launches.

The website will remain under construction tonight, and we expect the transition to be completed by tomorrow.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make sure the new LOWA.org is ready for our members. We apologize for the extended interruption and look forward to welcoming you to the new site soon!

✅Tomorrow's the Day! Monday, August 31!

Tomorrow we'll officially launch the new LOWA.org!

🌟To complete the transition, the website will be temporarily unavailable for approximately 4-6 hours while we migrate everything to the new site.

🐴 Youth Fall Riding Scholarships – Applications Open Now! 🍂

Calling all young equestrians at Lake of the Woods! Have you always wanted to learn to ride? Now's your chance to saddle up! The LOW Equestrian Committee is now accepting applications for the Youth Fall Riding Scholarship Program.

Scholarship recipients will receive five riding lessons (a $257 value) at the LOW Equestrian Center with our experienced trainers. Riders will gain confidence, balance, coordination, responsibility, and resilience while enjoying the many physical and mental benefits of spending time with horses.

Who can apply?
🐎 Ages 7–18
🏡 Must reside in the LOW community
✍️ Complete the scholarship application, including a short paragraph about why you'd like to receive the scholarship
👨‍👩‍👧 Parent/guardian permission required

📅 Application Deadline: August 4
📣 Scholarship recipients will be notified by August 12.

Applications are available at the Holcomb Building or online at www.LOWA.org/Amenities/Equestrian-Center .

This program is made possible through the generous support of Friends of Lake of the Woods (FLOW), helping more young riders experience the joy of horses regardless of financial barriers.

Do you enjoy working with horses and being part of a dedicated team? The LOWA Equestrian Center is looking for a Part-Time Barn Attendant to help provide exceptional care for our horses and maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

As a Barn Attendant, you'll:
🐎 Feed and water horses according to established schedules.
🧹 Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the barn, including sweeping aisles and keeping common areas tidy.
🤝 Safely handle horses during daily activities, including turnout, exercise, and veterinary visits.
💙 Help ensure our horses receive the quality care they deserve every day.

📍 Route Starts: Intersection of Yorktown Boulevard & Lakeview Parkway
🏁 Route Ends: Clubhouse Lower-Level Parking Lot

• Lakeview Parkway CLOSED from the intersection of Yorktown Boulevard & Lakeview Parkway to the Clubhouse lower-level parking lot.
• Lakeview Parkway from the Main Gate to the Clubhouse CLOSED for parade traffic.

• Lake of the Woods Way CLOSED for the parade.

🗑️ Please note: The Lake of the Woods trash compactor will have a delayed opening and will open at 12:00 PM on Saturday.
