Yesterday Morning... Dredd made a scene at the bank... a manager had to be called! πŸ‘€πŸ˜±He barked for his biscuits at the drive thru... she promised to send 4 biscuits. She was taking too long... way too long! He hung out the window watching intently at the bankers scurrying about... he barked to let them know his impatience with the situation of the biscuits. Many woofs and prompting barks... low grumbles. The lady over the loud speaker said we're working on it big boy! 🀣 Every continued to scurry! I guess they only had one biscuit in the biscuit container and the supervisors key would not unlock the biscuit location. The manager was called ... he showed up in the drive thru next to us... put his key thru the tube to make sure Dredd got his biscuits! Dredd apparently intimidated the car next to us...that abruptly put their window up and made haste. 🀣🀣🀣 Millie sat watching proudly that SHE in deed did a fine job of teaching Dredd to summons the biscuits at the bank drive thru πŸ™‚

Follow up to my post of the surrendered Leopard Gecko in the skull: Took quite a few hours but it came out. It now has a more appropriate hide that it can not get stuck in :)

There is a lot of big opinions going around 🫣
#1 I won't tell you what you can or can't keep... but I will make a better suggestion of what will work "better" for your expectations.
For example I don't think a 2 or 3 year old is mature enough to have a pet ... I suggest age 7 ... children at this age are going to school, they understand hand washing and want to begin to learn to take care of something other than themselves. These pets are really the responsibility of the Parent...teaching the child responsibility of the pet. (I'll ruffle some feathers with this opinion lol) It's my big opinion to have!πŸ˜‚
#2 Some people can take care of things better than others... who am I to judge what they are capable of. I just provide insite.
#3 Please consider many pets live very long lives... and although we intend to keep them forever... the cruel world can and will sneak up on us and change our direction. Try not to cast judgement ... accept they've made a poor decision and are seeking help to correct it. I'm speaking about bad choices in animals but of course it does apply to life... and haven't we all 🀣
#4 If the animal is smarter than you... probably better to leave it to someone else and make another choice to fit your level of experience. Not all people & animals are successful ... sometimes you can do everything perfectly and still fail... such is life.
#5 Enjoy your animal and quit obsessing about everything πŸ™‚
#6 I don't have a #6 but thank you for reading thru and most of all try to help people and enjoy your pets ... they don't live forever and some lives are cut short. I'm responsible for what I produce and I will guide you the best I can πŸ™‚
Did you know we breed a lot of reptiles? What species do we currently produce?
Ball Pythons ... lots of morphs
Crested Geckos ... lots of morphs
Chameleon Geckos ... two species agricolea & viellardi
Veiled Chameleons with morphs
Panther Chameleons
Cuban False Chameleons aka Bearded Anole
Blue Tongue Skinks ... different localities
Corn, king and milks snakes ...different kind & morphs
Tri-color Hognose snakes
Western Hognose snakes ... a few morphs
Giant New Caledonian Gecko aka leachianus
Green Keeled Lizards
Mourning Geckos ... two kind yellow belly & Hawaiian
Gargoyle Geckos
Rainbow Jackson Chameleons ... current new project!
Past projects:
Gila Monsters ... reticulated & banded
Many different Tarantulas & Scorpions
Cone Head Lizards... did you know I'm one of the first people to produce these in captivity... maybe even the first πŸ™‚ My claim to fame 🀣
many venomous snakes ... my favorite species was all the different localities of copper heads πŸ™‚ I wouldn't suggest venomous keeping.
Red Tail Boas ... many morphs & localities...I'm too old for such a large species now. Too heavy!
Bull Snakes ... many morphs
Sonoran Gopher Snakes
African House Snakes
Different species of garter snakes...checkered... albino checkered... gulf coast.... etc.
Albino toads
Albino bullfrogs
Axolotls
Fire belly toads
Mexican Alligator Lizard ... very hard to do in Michigan ... I failed many times. (I need high altitude cloud forest pfft!)
Black Milk snakes
Mexican Black King snakes
Emerald Tree Boas
Green Tree Pythons
Leopard Tortoises
I'm sure I'm forgetting some ... if you figure I've been doing this since 1981 ... a stroke at age 31... I feel my memory is pretty decent πŸ™‚ lol Have an awesome day and take care of your pets! πŸ₯°πŸ˜Š

I forgot to say ... Baby Leachies hatched yesterday! Pictured below is the father. These should grow up to be stunning!

I don't like to alarm people. This may be one of those rare instances that a Leopard Gecko is either resting in this skull ornament or it maybe that it can't get out of this skull ornament. This was a surrender that came in... so we're going to wait it out and see what happens. If it can get in... common sense says it should be able to come out. When it comes out... it will indeed lose this ornament. :) If you have situations such as this... access it accordingly. #1 keep the ornament away from the heat. #2 if it's not out in 24 hours you will need to assist it.
