TWO special happy tail Fridays in a row?!😱

We are so happy to share two more very special adoptions!

First is Dorie, a beautiful dilute torti who’d been with us for almost 200 days! Her new dad came in to meet her and immediately fell in love!🥰

Second is JR, a goofy Pit Bull who spent JUST under a year with us! His family worked hard and spent time to ensure that it would be a good fit, and boy was it!💗

To Dorie’s new dad, thank you for giving her a chance when she’d been passed by so many times before!

To JR’s new family, thank you for your dedication to this amazing dog who didn’t have a good start in life.

Butterball is a Pyrenees/Lab mix who weighs 62 pounds! She is a sweet girl who loves to be close to you and she makes silly faces!😝

Lola is a Shepherd mix who weighs 45 pounds! She’s a happy, adorable cuddly girl!🥰

Cowboy is a rough and rowdy Pit who weighs pounds! He’s the best mixture of energetic and snuggly and provides a lot of entertainment!😁

Athena is a 3 year old Pit who is 1 of 3 of our newest new dogs so we are still learning about her! She has been friendly to everyone she’s met so far!💗

Jolene is a 1 year old Beagle! She’s tiny and loves soft, gentle pets and kisses! She is 1 of 3 of our newest new dogs so we are still learning about her!😍

Sophia is a 10 month old Chihuahua/Pug mix and is the last of our 3 newest new dogs! She likes to be held and definitely warms up fairly quickly to you!🥰

Meeya is a 45 pound, 8 year old pocket pit! This sweet, gentle girl would love to spend her days going for walks and car rides with her person. She loves to have her nose to the ground, walking at a light pace. She’ll take occasional breaks and ask for snuggles, then get back up and be on her way again! She loves belly rubs and smooches! She seems to be very much okay with being the only dog🥰

Walter is a 77 pound, 8 year old Pit. This handsome, incredibly sweet fella enjoys going for walks and trips to pet friendly establishments! He loves to explore the yard then take a nice nap on the couch. He does well with other dogs! He’s loved every single person he’s ever met!😍

Part two of our “dogs that LOVE other dogs” post showcase 4 more of our dogs that you can come and meet right here at the shelter!😁

Melanie is a 42 pound, 2 year old GSD mix! This tiny cutie has loved every person and dog she’s met, and is the perfect walker and car passenger!😍

Lainey is a 62 pound, 1 year old Pit mix! Her go to phrase is “go hard or goes home” (and she always goes hard)😂 She is a bundle of fun and energy and will always keep you and her canine play mates on your toes! Shes a very smart and silly girl who loves belly rubs!🥰

Creed is a 46 pound, 1-2 year old Pit! Creed is more on the energetic side, and his biggest fans describe him as bouncy and goofy! He loves getting the zoomies in the play yard and romping around with his bestie Dribble!😝

Dribble is a 52 pound, 5 year old Hound mix! He has a calmer demeanor but does love a good play sesh! This dog is SUPER sweet and just as smart!💗

Our next post will be a 2-part post that is perfect for anyone looking for a friend for their dog! All of these next dogs you’ll be seeing are great with other pups!🐶💗🐶

Boots is a 65lb, 2 year old Hound who is extremely sweet. She has loved everyone she has met and loves to be pet! She does well with other medium/large dogs! We believe she would prefer a home with no cats!😁

Coconut is a 57 pound, 1 year old Hound mix that loves everyone! He loves playing in water and running around the yard with his entertaining shenanigans! He does well with dogs of all sizes!😍

Ostrich is a 60 pound, 10 month old Collie/Pit mix. He is a very goofy boy! He loves every dog, cat and person he has met. He loves to learn and is very playful!🥰

Jade is a 78 pound, 8 month old Mastiff mix. She is newer to us so we are still learning about her but so far she has been nothing but sweet and affectionate! She has been good with dogs, cats and kids!💗

NOTE: These 4 dogs are in a foster home so they are not at the shelter! If you’re interested in multiple of them, luckily they are all at the SAME foster home! 😝 You must have an approved application in order to meet a foster dog!

Jordan Marie is a 20 pound, 4 year old Beagle. She has 2 speeds: Play hard and sleep hard! Jordan is good with kids, dogs and cats!🥰

Leia is a 40 pound, 6 month old Treeing Walker Coonhound! Leia has more of a scale of activity level than Jordan, where she can range from cuddly and snuggly, to playful! Leia is good with kids and other dogs, but has not been tested with cats!😁

This post is gonna go down in history for the best “Spot the Difference” game!👀🔎

This is Hank! At 5 years old and 60 pounds, Hank is what we call the perfect “starter” Hound!😍

He is currently being fostered and has been living it up with his almost identical foster siblings!
He’s good in an apartment!✅
He’s been GREAT with other dogs and children!✅✅
He even likes going on outings to drive-in theaters, boating trips and sporting events!✅✅✅

He has limited time left at his foster home, as their landlord graciously allowed them an allotted amount of time to foster a dog despite the pet limit, so we are hoping to find this handsome fella a home soon before he has to come back to the shelter! You must have an approved application in order to meet a dog in foster!😁

We’re interrupting your regularly scheduled Facebook doom scrolling to reintroduce all of our amazing adoptable dogs!🐶💗

First up are our remaining three chihuahuas! These three, if you remember from our other recent post, came from a not so great place. They have thrived while here at the shelter and are looking and feeling much better!🤩

These affectionate, tiny pups are likely to be found all snuggling in a pile together, or howling like their wolf ancestors (you can’t even see the difference!)😂

They love to be held and loved on, they can be either couch potato’s or playful, and they love to go on walks and breathe in the fresh air!🥰

NOTE: Cornbread is currently in a foster home and is not at the shelter! If you want to meet her specifically, please fill out an application FIRST!📝

We have 3 handsome black and white boys, all one year old, all survivors of a trailer fire, and all ready for their forever homes! 🖤🤍

🐾 Stevie – The sweetest boy you could ever meet! Stevie loves to be held, petted, and adores other cats. He would absolutely thrive in a home with another feline friend. Full of personality and love, Stevie is ready to make someone’s life brighter.

🐾 Charlie – A little more on the shy side, but once he has the company of another cat, his playful, loving personality shines through. Stevie has helped him blossom here, but he’s ready for a forever friend of his own if they don’t get adopted together!

🐾 Connery – The wanderer of the community room! Connery loves brushing up against legs and making friends with both people and cats. He’s the perfect mix of Stevie’s outgoing charm and Charlie’s gentleness. His coat took a hit from the fire, but it’s slowly growing back, and so is his confidence.

All three boys are currently hanging out in our community room. You’ll often find Stevie and Charlie cuddled up together in their double-wide cage, while Connery prefers to roam around greeting everyone.
