A Letter from Mrs. Claus

Hello, my dear friends!
As the snowflakes dance and the North Pole twinkles with holiday cheer, I wanted to take a moment to share a little Christmas magic with you. Santa and I have been busy checking lists (twice, of course!) and making sure every sleigh bell shines bright for the big night.
This year has reminded us all how important it is to come together, to lift each other up, and to spread kindness wherever we can. Kindness is the true gift of the season—it costs nothing, yet it warms hearts more than any present under the tree. A smile, a helping hand, or a kind word can make someone’s day brighter than the star on top of the tree.

Before we moved, I looked for an artist who truly is LOCAL to Hillsboro. My friend is that artist. She created this gorgeous blue bird (my personal favorite bird) and it sang to me. Today, the art is displayed on my kitchen shelf and it's perfect. She has a booth at located at NE 3rd Avenue and Lincoln in Downtown Hillsboro.

We had a wonderful trip to spend time with Tim's family. Snow, food, real conversations and some gorgeous homes built over 150 years ago. The airport were easy breezy too.

We are home sweet home and look forward to spending time with them soon.

It's been a minute since we posted. Today, we hung Christmas lights. For the first time in 24 years the lights cast a shadow on the wall and we didn't have to hang lights in the rain. Not gonna lie, it felt weird. The lights are so pretty and Rose E and Glinda are settling in to their home.

We miss familiar faces, spaces and places, for sure. But we are having fun learning everything about Livermore, California. Oregon will always have a special place in our hearts, for all the beautiful reasons. Thank you all for everything 🙏 ❤️

UPDATE: Hello Puppernickel Friends,
We've safely settled into our new haven. Rose E and Glinda were amazing travel buddies and loved the journey 💕. We explored the Livermore Farmers Market and scored some fantastic treats: tamales, salsa, eggs, granola, pita bread, hummus, veggies, salmon, kombucha and more. Carrying everything was quite the arm workout! They have local musicians, too! The weather has been nice, with some rain and a gentle breeze.

We appreciate your support of our small doggy business and for making our days brighter, especially during tough times. Though we'll miss our Oregon home of 24 years, we're excited for this new adventure. We plan to visit you all as often as we can.

Hear ye, Hear ye! Saturday is Puppernickel last Farmers Market 😢 As a small business owner who partipates and supports our community, we benefit as well from the hardworking team that shows up to bring community together. Thank you, , for all you do for many ❤️

Puppernickel is a Pet ReTail and Doggy BaRkery located at 133 SE 3rd Avenue Hillsboro 1/2 block from Main Street. We handmake all natural doggy treats, pupcakes and mutt muffins and source our produce from local farmers to ensure freshness and to support small businesses. We sell local handmade doggy and kitty bandanas, bowties and kitty kickers made with fresh catnip and silvervine as well as soy candles that help household pet odors. We chose to carry soy to support soy farmers and it's the cleanest burning candle on the market. Our apparel lines is absolutely darling and our toys are made in the USA. Stop by to say, Hi!
