Here's another of the incredible specialists that travels to Southwest Vet - this time for Cardiology! This is Carrie Ginieczki, DVM, MS, ACVIM (Cardiology). Dr. Carrie Ginieczki received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University. She then pursued a rotating small animal internship at Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Following her internship, Carrie completed a combined cardiology residency and masters program at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University. Immediately following her residency, she achieved board-certification in the discipline of veterinary cardiology through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

We are so thankful to be able to partner with Dr. Ginieczki to provide cardiology services for our patients.

Did you know? We partner with a team of specialist doctors who provide incredible services to our patients. This is Audra Fenimore, DVM, MS, ACVIM (SAIM). Dr. Audra Fenimore earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Over the next year, she completed her small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Red Bank, New Jersey. She went on to complete a one-year program at Nestle Purina Internal Medicine/Shelter, becoming a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Colorado State University. In 2014, Audra successfully completed a small animal internal medicine residency at Colorado State University. That same year, Dr. Fenimore became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Since then, she has been practicing small animal internal medicine in the Denver area.

We are so lucky to have Dr. Fenimore come to Southwest Vet to provide ultrasounds for our patients.

Remember that we are in the midst of summer and how easily your pet's pads can be burnt while walking on the sidewalks and asphalt. Plan to take your walks earlier in the morning or later in the evening when the temps might be cooler. Always check the ground with your hand to see if it is too hot for your pet to walk on.
