(This pretty girl is a young adult and looking for a home. She's a little timid with new people at first, but seems to be great with other cats right away! She was rescued from a home with many other cats, and would probably like to either go home with one of her other housemates or to a home with another friendly cat. Many of the other cats/kittens she came in with did well settling into homes with cat-friendly dogs, so it's possible that she could too! She might be scared of or run away from youngsters. She is now spayed, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas, and has been eating a food for sensitive stomach.)

😹 Who doesn't love watching cats try to squish themselves into the weirdest spots imaginable? 😹

While 6-year-old Gotham often wants to act like a curmudgeon, he has a silly side as well! He's one of those cats that loves to act independent, but then when you turn around, you realize he is purposely trying to be near you, sleeping close by or sitting just watching you. No experience with dogs or kids, but he has so far done well with more submissive cats here at the shelter. Gotham is a character and would make a good companion for a person or couple that doesn't mind the cat ruling the roost! 🖤

UPDATE: Puppy's been adopted!

🐶 Meet Puppy! 🐶 While we are a feline rescue, this sweet boy acted so much like a dog that he was affectionately named Puppy by his rescuers!

Puppy was brought to one of the local vet offices as a stray with a neck wound. After neutering him, cleaning up his wound, and doing other needed care, they asked if we could take him in and find him a home. Thank you Woodlands Vet Clinic!

Puppy is estimated to be around a year and a half old and LOVES attention (and sniffing shoes!) He enjoys sitting on your lap, following you around to see what you're doing, rolling around, and just all-around being silly. Not sure how he feels about other cats yet (he did growl at Administrative Assistant Molly Roger and at the cats in the Sun Room at one point, but he also may just need time to adjust), but he'd likely be purrfectly happy anyway as the only furbaby so that he can get all the attention 🐾

(All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, de-wormed, tested for FeLV/FIV, and treated for fleas before adoption.)

🤎 Wacky girl Emmy is looking for a home! She is a cute, nice kitten (around 10 weeks old) that is hard to get a good picture of - kittens are full of energy and always moving! She's a sweet girl but more interested in playing right now than in being forced to snuggle or sit still on your lap. She would do well with other pets (she came from a place with many, many others) and in a home with plenty of toys. She's a fun girl now that's sure to grow into an awesome little cat 🤎

P.S. Mishka is a little under a year old and looking for a home! She's a little shy at first, but is an absolute sweetheart once she's comfortable with you. 😻 What a hunk! Happy from Gotham, a neutered male cat around 6 years old that was surrendered due to a change in his owner's living situation. His front paws are de-clawed (this was not performed here).

Gotham wants to be the man in charge - he has been doing pretty well with the other cats in the room so long as they are more submissive and don't bother him. No experience with dogs or children, and he should definitely go to an adults-only home. Gotham is a nice boy, but doesn't want to be fussed over too much. He's happy to accept a few pats here and there, but he wouldn't be a good fit for someone that wants to be able to pick up, snuggle with, and make of their cat all day long. Gotham will probably think he's doing you a favor by moving in, and so he's looking for a human that isn't easily offended and would just be happy to have a cat around. He enjoys treats! Please share to help us find this handsome house panther a home 🖤

Wow, what a busy start to the week! After seeing around 120 pets for vaccines and/or nail trims at our shot clinic on Sunday, we were right back at it on Monday with a spay/neuter clinic where forty pets were altered, including a cat that had developed pyometra, an infection of the uterus that can be fatal if untreated (Spaying your cats and dogs is the only surefire way to prevent this deadly infection!)

One of the kitties that way spayed on Monday was Paisley, an affectionate stray mama cat that is ready to see her kittens off so that she can begin the next chapter of her life, too. She is estimated to be a young adult and loves attention. If you hold your hand out, she'll jump right up to meet it for some lovin'! Unsure quite yet how she would feel about living with other pets. She has been exposed to smaller dogs, and seems to hiss at other cats. It's possible she could get used to other pets with a gradual introduction, but she would certainly be happy as the only pet as well. She loves attention so much that she'd probably love kids - more humans means more pats! 🤎🧡
