Our next Pet Wellness Clinic is being held at Community Concepts this Saturday, May 16th from 9-11:30 am. Community Concepts is located at 240 Bates Street in Lewiston.

We will be offering free core vaccines (thanks to Petco Love) for both dogs and cats. Rabies vaccines are available for $20. If you bring proof of a prior vaccine, you can get a 3-year rabies vaccine. Bordetella vaccines for dogs are available for $10.

Microchips will be available for $20 and are truly priceless when it comes to reuniting with a lost companion.

Look for our GAHS van and yellow tents! Please have your dogs on leash and collar; all cats need to be in carriers.

Our pet wellness clinics are intended to serve pets owned by families in need, for the purpose of keeping pets healthy and in their existing home. Breeders and those intending to profit from rehoming pets do not qualify for these services.

Weight: 52 lbs
Sophie is affectionate, high energy, ready-when-you-are personality, loves her person and is tuned in to your every move. She listens when you tell her “no”, comes when I call every time, and is eager to learn and please. She is completely housebroken. She will play ball with you and just by herself and is calm and content to rest by your side. She loves walks and car rides. She is timid with new people so honor her space and allow her to approach at her own pace. Once you are one of her people she is very friendly. It is unknown how she is around children. Treats offered from the new person helps. She is extremely smart and alert as she anticipates your actions and looks for opportunities to cuddle. And counter surf! So be careful of walking away from your sandwich, a loaf of bread or your coffee cup! She is good with other dogs who understand that she is in charge. She can be possessive with her toys and will grab them back from other dogs. Sometimes she can play on the rough side so playmates her size or bigger would be best. She has a strong prey drive so NO CATS or other small animals. She currently loves living and playing with my three dogs and another three dogs that I petsit. She picks up tricks quickly and most likely be a wiz at agility!
