We were so happy to be featured by Good Dog today! So proud of Sofia and Flan and everything they have accomplished and continue to accomplish! Flan has trick titles and has also been in a film!

Sometimes, the perfect puppy is 2,000 miles away ✈️

After years of petsitting, Sofia was finally ready to bring home a puppy of her own. While searching Good Dog, she came across Jessica of Piney Woods Miniature Dachshunds LLC over 2,000 miles away in the small town Linden, Texas. But the distance didn’t deter her, and after chatting with Jessica and learning more about her practices (and getting plenty of puppy photos!), Sofia was soon matched with a tiny red longhaired Dachshund puppy she would go on to name Flan.

Jessica set up a flight with her trusted flight nanny, Frances, and sent regular updates about Flan until she was ready to go home. A few weeks later, Flan safely arrived on the west coast, and they’ve been attached at the hip ever since.
