To highlight some of our longer residents still with us at the shelter each staff member has picked a "favorite" of the week.

Misty's pick is the very sweet, we don't know what breed he actually is but those ears are majestic, Mr. Inky!

My pick is Inky! I pick him because well to be honest he truly is one of my favorites ( don't tell the others!). He quickly stole my heart with just how sweet, gentle and playful he is. He is fully potty trained and listens well to basic commands. Inky I would say is one of our more well behaved dogs while inside and just quietly chills in his kennel waiting for more outside time, treats and love. He loves outside time and when we had the 1st snow of the season he was so excited that he would bristle up every time he went out, then would sniff around and come up with a snow mounded nose. His only downfall is that he is not good with other animals and unfortunately that paired with the fact that he's a black dog (they are just harder for us to get adopted out in general) he has had very little interest from people looking to adopt. It breaks my heart because he is a well behaved , lovable, silly boy who like all of our animals at the shelter is just waiting for someone to scoop him up and give him the life he deserves.

LONGEST RESIDENT- over a year! Please consider adopting Inky! NO CATS. Great with kids and people. Meet and greet with other dogs required. He’s wonderful and needs out!
