ADOPTION NEWS! 🗞️ Daisy has been ADOPTED! Daisy was found as a stray in Hollywood. A Good Samaritan took her in and tried to find her owners, to no avail. Daisy was not spayed or microchipped and most likely dumped since no one was looking for her. We were contacted and asked to help. We had Daisy spayed and fully vetted at Lantana-Atlantis Animal Hospital in Lantana. We boarded Daisy there while we awaited an adopter. When Daisy first arrived at Boarding, she was very fearful of strangers. We are so grateful to the staff there for providing her with a safe place to properly decompress and for not turning her away because she was reactive. One of the staff members, who is a Certified Trainer spent quality time with her and helped her to become a confident dog. The Good Samaritan who originally found her, offered to foster her once she was healed from her spay surgery and had gained her confidence. We received an adoption application for Daisy and met at their home for a meet and greet. While we were there, our Good Samaritan broke down in tears and said that he could not part with her!! Our Good Samaritan is now officially Daisy’s Dad and Savior all wrapped into one perfect human ❤️ Daisy loves him as much as he loves her. This is truly a Happy Ending for all. 🙏🏻

ADOPTION NEWS! 📰Ozzy is a 1 year old Bassett Hound who was owner surrendered to us last year. He was adopted to a new family, who for unforeseen circumstances, could no longer keep him. The third time is definitely the charm for this guy! His new family are Lady Luck Animal Rescue Alumni. Last year when they applied and were not picked to adopt (Luigi) Ozzy, they adopted another dog from us. Everything happens for a reason. This family saved two lives and finally got to take Ozzy home! They have always wanted a Basset Hound and now their family is complete. Fun fact, they loved Luigi’s name so much that they named the dog that they adopted from us last year Luigi! Ozzy was always meant to be with them. 🙏🏻 To confuse matters a little bit more, they have renamed Luigi-Ozzy-Gus! 😂 Gus is in his furrever home now ❤️🐾 Happy Tails Buddy, you will have endless fun playing with all of your canine siblings and humans.

ADOPTION NEWS! 🗞️ River has found his Furrever Family! River was found as a stray in Coral Springs and wound up at the Humane Unit. He is only 8 months old and had a ton of baby Husky energy to burn! We had him neutered and fully vetted and he remained at the Humane Unit until we received an adoption application from a family whose beloved Husky had passed away. River lacked training and needed structure before we sent him to his new family. Melody Owens and her staff at Star Dog Obedience in Loxahatchee accepted the challenge! After spending only 3 days boarding at their facility, River learned basic commands, recall and improved greatly walking on a leash. Good things happen quickly at Star Dog!! River now has a Mom who is committed to following through on his training. The staff spent over an hour with us, teaching the adopter all the techniques needed for River to thrive. Huskies have a bad reputation as being difficult to train. The truth is, Huskies are extremely intelligent dogs, and they are eager to learn. They just need the right human to properly train and stimulate them. River is fortunate to have found the perfect human! ❤️ He also gained two human siblings to play with. Happy Tails gorgeous! You are a good boy and you are Loved! ❤️🐾

Little Georgia O’Keefe was rushed to Pet Emergency Center today with a swollen belly. The initial exam and tests show anemia, low temperature, an enlarged heart and megacolon in the X-rays. She is only 10 weeks old and very boney. They are starting fluid therapy to see if she can pass the stool but her outcome is guarded. The emergency center wuote so far is &1300-$1500. She will be transported to her new home. She’s just a baby and needs a loving home to call her own. The current owner is overwhelmed and cannot care for her much longer. URGENT FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT NEEDED!
Located in West Palm Beach Florida

Samantha is a 9 year old Female 87 lb Purebred German Shepherd. She is currently in a temporary foster home, but she can not stay there past 6/25. We picked her up from PBCACC and brought her directly to our veterinarian because she has a horrific ear infection and trauma that was never treated. There is no more cartilage in her left ear and the ear itself is torn in half from what may have been a dog attack. The Veterinarian , myself and the staff all gasped when we saw her ear underneath the flap. Samantha, despite all that she has endured is calm, sweet and loving. German Shepherds are very sensitive dogs and she is missing her owner, despite how despicable they were.

PLEASE, someone step up to foster her or Foster to adopt her. The rescue will pay for all of her medical and other needs while in foster care. The vet packed her ears, so she does not require ear drops. She is on antibiotics and anti inflammatory oral meds. This Senior girl deserves stability and Love ❤️

Big celebration today. Our girl Sunshine who has been in the rescue for two years finally got adopted by this wonderful person who asked for the cat who has been with us the longest. We think they are purrfect for each other. Happy life Sunshine!

Cecilia is looking for her forever, family! She was found hiding under a bush in Broward County. She has been in a foster home for 3 weeks and is thriving! She is completely potty trained, crate trained and knows basic commands. She sleeps on my pillow at night and loves to snuggle. She is wonderful with other dogs, she does not puppy bite and is not destructive.

Today we welcome Samantha to the Lady Luck Animal Rescue Family. Samantha is a 9 year old 86lb, Female German Shepherd who was found as a stray in Loxahatchee. Very rarely will we say that we are thankful that a dog got loose, or dumped by their owner. In this case, we applaud the one good thing her subhuman owner did for her. I’m trying to find the words to adequately describe the abuse and neglect that this beautiful girl has endured. Her left ear is torn in half, most likely due to another dog attacking her. She developed the most severe infection in that ear that we’ve ever seen. I will spare everyone the photos, because they are just too horrific. Today we picked her up from Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control and went straight to Dr Bolanos in Boca Raton (Maybe not straight, we stopped at Dunkin for a Pup Cup first!). When Dr Bolanos lifted her flipped over ear, we all gasped. The agony that she has had to live with, for God only knows how long, is unfathomable. She was treated today for double ear infections. Our hope is that her ear can be treated with medication. We will know more in another week, whether or not she needs surgery. What ever it takes, we will get her healed. Tonight she is safe and sound in a temporary foster home, but we need to find another home for her by Wednesday 6/25. Ideally, a foster to adopt home. She has been through so much, we would love to offer her stability while she heals physically and emotionally. Despite all that she has been through, she is dog friendly and super people friendly. She is potty trained and does not need to be crated. She does have arthritis in her hips, which is typical for the breed at her age, but she’s still able to jump in a car and run around.
