Superman's arrival in movie theaters has 'super-charged' interest in dog adoptions.

The reason appears to be the popularity of superman's dog 'krypto' in the new film.
There's fresh data from dog training app 'woofz.'
It finds google searches for ‘adopt a dog near me’ jumped by more than 500-percent since the movie's release july 11th.
The 'krypto' character was inspired by director james gunn's rescue dog - ozu.
Gunn adopted ozu when the film was still in development.
The training challenges he had with ozu translated into how 'krypto' was depicted on screen.

FOR A 16-YEAR-OLD CAT, THE PRICE TAG IS ABOUT 32-THOUSAND-DOLLARS.
THE REPORT SAYS DOG OWNERS SHOULD PREPARE FOR COSTS TO INCREASE BY UP TO SEVEN-PERCENT THIS YEAR...
AND BY AS MUCH AS TEN-PERCENT FOR CAT OWNERS.
THE COSTS DOES VARY DEPENDING ON THE BREED, SIZE, HEALTH CONDITIONS AND LIFESPAN OF THE ANIMALS.
THE REPORT ADDS THE COST OF BRINGING A PET HOME HAS ACTUALLY GONE DOWN COMPARED TO LAST YEAR, BUT THE PRICE TO CARE FOR IT LONG TERM HAS GONE UP.
MEANWHILE, WITH THE THREAT OF A TRADE WAR, 52-PERCENT OF PET PARENTS SAY THEY ARE WORRIED THAT NEW TARIFFS WILL INCREASE THE COST OF CARING FOR THEIR PETS.

THERE'S A PAID VERSION OF THE SERVICE AT 290 MUSEUMS IN 53 CITIES ACROSS ITALY.

THE DOG-SITTER MEETS THE OWNER OUTSIDE OF THE MUSEUM AND TAKES THE DOG FOR A WALK WHILE THE OWNER IS INSIDE.

THE SERVICE NORMALLY COSTS ABOUT 10 DOLLARS PER HOUR.

THE PROMOTIONAL, FREE VERSION OF THE SERVICE LAUNCHED ON SUNDAY.
