Trigger warning! Nail injury!!!!! 👀👀👀👀🫣

This is your friendly reminder that it is way easier to get your pets nails trimmed once every 6 weeks than it is to have your pets overgrown nails get hung on something, it get ripped out and then have to go to the vet and spend hundreds of dollars to get it removed, (aka cut the rest of the way off while they’re awake-most don’t give sedation for this 😩 ) cauterized and antibiotic treatment. We make it so very simple, just schedule once and We can keep your pet on a recurring schedule. This is so painful for your pet, scary and expensive for you , and can absolutely be avoided! Yesterday we went to visit the sweet pups at Mercer County Animal Control Center Kentucky and took every dog (17 total) a busy bone and a Kong filled with peanut butter and played with some who needed some much needed play time. Every single one there is amazing and in need of a home but a few: Boomer and Raider are in extra need of someone special to rescue them.! Boomer needs a lot of space to run as he has an insane amount of energy, Raider already know some tricks and is just the sweetest ever!!!!! Marcus is probably my favorite one in the whole place, what a kind gentleman ❤️

There are so many ways you can hold your dog for a nail trim. In 25 years, we’ve tried just about every method there is.

In this picture, you see the way most people end up holding their small dog for a nail trim—and it’s absolutely the best way IF… you’re dying to get bit! 😅 Notice how there’s no support around the upper body, leaving tons of room for the dog to move. At any moment, if this dog gets scared, nervous, or annoyed, they can easily jerk their head down and bite.

And honestly? That’s because everyone here is a true pet lover first. We’re most likely to play and get kisses from your pet before and after their trims!!

While some places offer nail trims begrudgingly, we genuinely get excited about them. We love what we do. When we see a pup who desperately needs relief, we can’t wait to get in there and get those clippers going.
