Yappy Place is an innovative, growing business designed to enhance the lives of pets and their owners. We are looking to add an additional Dog Groomer to our team. Dog Groomers at Yappy Place are W-2 employees. We also employ dog bathers, paid hourly by the business, to help groomers. If you’re interested or have questions, please send a private message.

We are located in the Chevy Chase neighborhoor at 314 S Ashland Avenue, Lexington, Ky 40502. In addition to dog grooming we have aquatic treadmills, self-serve dog wash stations, and some retail.

Have you tried our dog wash? It has a few unique features and is very efficient. It also has extended hours. The dog wash area has a separate entrance with wooden stairs and is now open every day from 6:00am to 11:00pm.

The dog wash is $15. It operates on a timer and most customers are done in the 15 minutes the timer runs for $15. The shampoo mixes with the water and comes out of the spray nozzle. This makes the process of lathering the dog with shampoo very efficient. There is a professional grade grooming dryer included. We recommend bringing a towel to save time. We don’t charge per dog. We have several customers with multiple dogs who can get both done in 15 min or 20 min total, which would be $15-$20 total for both dogs.

If you need to get your dog clean before the holidays (or even on a holiday) and don’t want mess at your house, we are the place to go. Extended hours - open 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM - every day (even on Easter). They are self-serve, no appointment required. Payment is like a vending machine with debit, credit, phone, or cash. They hold large dogs such as Great Danes and Mastiffs. They operate with push buttons like a self-serve car wash. The water temperature is regulated and blow drying is available. No fussing with shampoo bottles or figuring out the right hot/cold balance. Get your dog clean without creating a mess at home. We recommend bringing a towel. Located at 314 S Ashland Ave, Lexington, Ky 40502. We have parking in a lot shared with Domino’s Pizza.

Is your dog shedding like crazy? Do you wish you could reduce the amount of fur that’s shedding? If you haven’t ever had a deshedding appointment for your dog, we highly recommend it.

For grooming we take both small and large dogs, older dogs, and also groom doodles. All of our services include nail trims and ear cleaning. We have a range of services available, including bathing, tidy trims (face, feet, and under the tail), full grooming (all over trim), and deshedding. Pricing is based on the size of the dog, type of coat, and services wanted. Drop-in nails trims are available when our groomers are working. Our groomers have great experience and love working with dogs. Our groomers will also groom cats.
