Dexter Does [Western] Dressage 🀠

"My best advice for others who may find themselves entering the negative self-talk vortex is to surround yourself with friends, coaches, and other dressage enthusiasts who encourage you and motivate you to continue pursuing your goals. Dressage truly is for every rider and every horse. In my experience, it’s been the most inclusive discipline in the horse industry."

Every body is an equestrian body, which is why we are focusing on inclusivity this month for our campaign. In this story, a dressage rider from Canada shares how her foundation in reining kickstarted a new love for dressage.

Can’t Eclipse My Shine β˜€οΈ

"His nose is covered with scars from a serrated noseband, and it took me most of the winter season in Ocala to realize that his flanks are, as well. He doesn’t have any notable bloodlines or elite inspection results. In fact, his mother’s name isn’t even listed. But that hasn’t stopped him from blazing up the levels to become a confirmed Prix St. Georges horse."

Every body is an equestrian body, which is why we are focusing on inclusivity this month for our campaign. Despite scars that speak of more than just physical pain, this horse and rider pair have climbed to the FEI levels with ease, recently securing the rider's USDF Silver Medal. A Year of Broken Bones and New Dreams πŸ€•

"My boyfriend took me to the ER (again!), where we got X-rays. When they showed three broken bones in my left leg and ankle, it was clear there would be an emergency set in my near future. This happened on a Friday, and they set up surgery for the following week. However, the day of the surgery coincided with the day Dan was to have his breed inspection in Tryon! Nooooo!

As luck would have it, my doctor was also a rider. When I explained the situation, he agreed to put off the surgery until after Dan’s inspection (priorities!). I attended the inspection in a temporary cast and using a walker. Dan’s breeder was able to be there to present him, and he went home with a Premium designation and Site Champion."

Every body is an equestrian body, which is why we are focusing on inclusivity this month for our campaign. In this remarkable read, a rider from Region 3 tells us how she didn't let a true series of unfortunate events stop her from accomplishing her dreams.

One Canter Stride at a Time πŸ”’

"Today, instead of watching me from a hospital bed, Clay is standing at the rail cheering Annie and me on. That simple change means more than any ribbon I’ve ever earned.

I’m still .

And Annie and I are still writing our story, one canter stride at a time.

Because our story isn’t just about Kissing Spines, or cancer, or ribbons.

It’s about second chances. It’s about the horses who carried me through different seasons of life. It’s about the trainers, friends, and barn family who refused to let me quit."

Every body is an equestrian body, which is why we are focusing on inclusivity this month for our campaign. Learn how this rider found solace in the saddle throughout her horse's kissing spine and her husband's lung cancer diagnosis.
