Our March 🔦Boarder Spotlight🔦 is Sara and her big gray Thoroughbred, Builder! Sara and Builder are such a great addition to our barn community.

Builder does his due diligence in keeping up with the gray horse stereotype of always being dirty but makes up for it by being an absolutely lovely athlete. When Sara isn’t in the tack, she can be found working the in gate at our home schooling and fun shows.

Keep an eye out for Sara and Builder rocking and rolling in the hunter ring this summer⭐️

🌷Paul Frazer Combined Test & Dressage Show Recap🌷

kicked off the spring season at the Kentucky Horse Park with a small but mighty group of riders. While it was a bit windy, the weather was great and we had lots of smiles and good results. This is shaping up to be a great group of riders and training horses after a winter of hard work in and out of the tack.

For your consideration:
Percy Jackson
USEF: 5684176 “Cayenne”
16hh 2016 Thoroughbred Gelding (Never trained to race - sport career only!)
Located in Georgetown, KY

Temperament: Percy is a sweet, laid back boy that enjoys spending time with people. He has good ground manners and can easily be handled by kids/beginner type adults.

Riding: Under saddle, Percy is soft in the bridle with a good understanding of contact and can school some basic lateral work like leg-yield, shoulders-in, haunches in, etc. He moves off the leg when asked but is not hot or strong. He has three easy to sit gaits that are comfortable for a lower level rider but can be put together more by an experienced rider. He loves to jump and is brave and careful. He does have good flying changes both ways. While he has a forward way of going to the fences, he is light in the hand and goes in a snaffle and little spur right now. Percy is forgiving and unphased with no spook or naughty business. He has an easy jump to stay with and comes right back when you say “whoa”. He is perfect for a rider to learn the jumpers on.

Experience/History: Percy never raced or trained for the track. He was never registered with the Jockey Club and instead was started and brought along for sport. He has primarily been ridden by junior and amateur riders throughout his career and even spent a short period in a lesson program prior to being acquired by his current owners. He has rated mileage in the .60 - .85m jumpers in Arizona and WEC Ohio.

Care: Percy is a moderate keeper and does best in four shoes. He requires hock injections (injected for the first time last September) and the vet recommended they be repeated yearly if he remains in a sport career. Hock radiographs from 2024 are available for interested parties. He goes out at night and comes in during the day.

Currently: Percy is getting back to work after having most of the winter off due to his current owners not having an arena at home. While they love him, they acknowledge he would be better suited to a rider in a program under a trainer with more consistent riding and showing opportunities. He was a gem to get back to work - no silly business his first ride back - he just walked around quietly on the buckle in a new place with other horses working around him until we asked him to go to a little trot. Percy is getting back to some over fences work and has been lovely for us. He needs more fitness and would love a person to call his own🩵 His ideal match would be a junior or amateur with a trainer looking to get some miles in the jumpers or we could see him crossing over to low level dressage and helping someone achieve their bronze with how well he goes on the flat.

If you think you could be Percy’s perfect person, please PM or text 502-682-2288 for more information. Old and current videos available upon request.

Just a few of our attendees of our spring jump chute clinic this weekend! We enjoyed schooling a variety of breeds and disciplines and getting to assist these talented young athletes in their development for sport. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the clinic as well as my incredible handlers who worked so hard over the weekend to give the horses a positive learning experience. Our next jump chute clinic will be in the late summer/fall for inspection prep so keep an eye out!

🔦February Boarder Spotlight🔦
Audrey is one of our youngest members of the Wildflower community. She’s tough, ready to work hard everytime she comes to the barn, and always willing to learn new things. She rides our oldest resident, Lil, who is a 28 year old Connemara with a long resume at the bigger levels and is now helping to teach the next generation of young horsewomen.

Look out for Audrey this year in the show ring!

Congratulations to all our riders who kicked off their season at our home Itty Bitty show today! I’m so proud of all my riders and the hard work they’ve put in this winter to really improve their riding.

🩵Addy made her debut off the leadline today at 5 years old on Lil in the Walk/Trot Poles Equitation and came home with a few blues! The first of many more!

🩵Audrey stepped up to the Crossrails Equitation division today and had a great flat and some well ridden courses to also bring home two blues and a second. She has shown so much growth in her riding this winter and the hard work has really paid off!

🩵Sara and Builder made their horse show debut together in the Future Beginner Horse 18in division and worked through the challenges of a green horses first show in good form and the results showed. I can’t wait to watch this pair continue to develop in the hunter ring together.

🩵Fran and her pony Grace shook the winter dust off in the Future Beginner Rider 18in division and had a really nice couple of trips with 2 firsts and 1 second. Fran has been putting in so much time over the last several months learning her new pony and working to create a strong partnership with Grace. This summer they’ll be a pair to watch.

🩵And rounding out our group we have Clare! Clare piloted Saumur around the Beginner Rider and checked every box I asked of her. Her use of the arena and corners to create straightness, her flying changes, correct numbers in the lines, and effective position were on point! She started the season strong with a win in every class.

To my students: Keep it up and let’s have a great 2025 season together!

As the weather warms up we have 3 great onsite full or half lease opportunities available at our beautiful facility in Georgetown ranging from care leases to an INCREDIBLE opportunity to develop an TB and only pay for your lessons and showing - owner is looking to sponsor a rider.
☀️30 Day trials available on all horses
☀️Great, no drama barn community at a top class facility
☀️All horses located 10 minutes from KHP
☀️Perfect way to get into a local or rated show program in time for summer

🖼️Saumur🖼️
Saumur is a 16 year old Warmblood gelding. He’s a large guy at around 17hh but is sweet and kind. He does everything from beginners to 3ft lessons and 3rd level dressage. He has been to Dressage Regionals, Junior Hunter Finals at Devon, and Zone Hunter Finals. He is the been there done that definition of a saint. Tolerates mistakes, leg ride, with all the buttons and an easy lead change. Has developed many riders of all ages. His current lease rider is ready to move up to a new mount but he is great for riders going from the crossrails to 2’9/3ft or a rider looking to dance in the sandbox and get score for their bronze medal.

How much?
Half lease: Monthly fee plus split costs of board, shoeing, vet, and bodywork. Includes 3 rides a week one of which must be a lesson which is additional cost.

Full lease: Yearly or month to month fee. All costs of full care board, shoeing, vet, and bodywork. Must stay onsite.

——-

🏛️Socrates🏛️
Socrates is a 16 year old Warmblood gelding standing 17hh. He is a willing and SAFE schoolmaster with miles from the .50cm to the 1.50m. Sweet and in your pocket, he is low level rider kind but fun for a more advanced rider to put together on the flat and over bigger fences. He is kept at a beautiful, low-key facility with an indoor arena, hacking space, and a small community of kind amateur riders and owners.

Socrates schools the laterals, jumps around nicely in the jumpers and equitation with a lead change, has shown at the local/rated HJ circuit, and hacks out alone or in company. He is a more forward ride and does best in a consistent program. To jump the bigger tracks he does require some minor routine maintenance reflective of his age and mileage. He would be a great option for a rider looking for a horse to help them develop from the 2’6 to the 3’6 with time or a mid-level rider looking for a nice horse to ride/show in the 1m/1.20m, Jumper seat medals, or the THIS medal or Ariat.

How much?
Half lease: Socrates is offered on care lease so you are just responsible for half the cost of board, half the cost of farrier, and half the cost of yearly vetwork and maintenance. One lesson per week is included in the cost of his board on his current package.

Full lease: Socrates is offered on care lease so you are just responsible for the cost of board, the cost of farrier, and the cost of yearly vetwork and maintenance. Two lessons per week are included in the cost of his board on his current package.

🪄Enchantera🪄
I have this really rare and incredible opportunity in my barn for someone to develop and show a flashy, kind OTTB gelding here with my instruction.

Enchantera is a retired stakes horse who’s been off the track for 2 years. He’s been fully let down and we started him back to work in November. He’s goes WTC and trots poles/small crossrails currently. He’s a stocky 16.1hh and just a super classy, honest, willing guy. He’s 11 right now.

The owner is wonderful, she has another horse in training with me for development and eventual sale and her horses want for nothing. This gelding, Tera, is not for sale and never will be so whoever wants to lease him has him for as long as he’s here.

The owner will pay for his board, farriery, vet work, and body work. She just wants someone who will take two lessons a week on him with me, and ride him at least 2-4 days outside of lessons. She would prefer someone who want to eventually show a little. A saddle and bridle are available for use but a lessee should be prepared to provide some tack.

How much?
Half lease: Pay for one lesson a week and commit to riding twice a week outside of your lessons. You are responsible for paying for any showing you want to do down the line.

Full lease:
Pay for two lessons a week and commit to riding three to four times a week outside of your lessons. You are responsible for paying for any showing you want to do down the line.

✨Interested in one of these boys??✨
