7 month old Leo shooting some live flyers with his owner before going home for his first hunting season. I’m privileged to watch these fine animals do what they love on the daily. The hand off to the owner/handler can be hard at times we do our best to make sure it goes right once a started program is completed.

Randi graduated our started program last week we cant wait to see what the future has in store for this team. Thanks for a being a great client and for putting in the work to make her the best she can be! We can’t wait to get her back this spring for casting work!

We were finally able to get a little time away from the kennel and spend some time with our HRC friends. Rosie picked up 2 finished passes, at just 18 months of age! We had a blast seeing old friends and meeting new ones! Thanks to Big Elkin Creek HRC, judges, bird techs, and anyone else who played a part in this event!

Today we pause and reflect, we honor those that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We remember those that never made it home and the families they left behind.

Happy Memorial Day 2026! 🇺🇸

Can’t let the day go by without wishing our best girl, Cabela, a happy 6th birthday!! If you have ever had the chance to hunt behind her or even be around her you know just how special she is!

Riley is getting a head start with us this spring! She has a good attitude and seems to be fitting right in! Doves and ducks are on the agenda 🕊️🦆

Want to know the cool part of our companion gun dog program? You not only get a nice hunting buddy, BUT you also get a nice companion that can go out on adventures with the family! This little Boykin is enjoying a lunch on a restaurant patio with her family!

A true gentleman and a great example of the Boykin breed. Doing great with his obedience and settling into his gun dog transition!
