Beets update:
Today Beets slipped while getting off the bed and was screaming for what seemed like FOREVER! So I've upped her gabapentin and put this no-slip rubber runner down. Hopefully that will help with slipping when coming in and out and getting off the bed. Last weekend Mark, Kate, and the kids helped get rid of the platform that my adjustable bed was sitting on so the bed is lower and easier for Beets to get on and off of. The dog bed at the foot of the bed makes it easier to get on and off too as long as no other dog is in the way and giving her a hard time. Now I'm hoping that the rubber mat prevents any future slipping. Also hoping that the increase in the gabapentin doesn't make her too sleepy all the time. The foot on that leg has started to knuckle under, and the vet said that the tumor is probably messing with the sciatic nerve now. I had sciatica when pregnant ... Not a pain I would wish upon anyone. Just trying everything I can to make what time is left comfortable and happy for Beets
