Did you know that heartworms are a serious, yet preventable, threat to your furry friend? 🐶🐱 Heartworm disease is transmitted through mosquito bites and can cause major health issues like lung disease, heart failure, and even death if left untreated.
This month, we’re spreading the word to keep our pets safe and healthy! Here’s what you can do:
✅ Talk to your vet: Schedule a heartworm test if it’s been a while since your pet was tested. ✅ Stay on top of prevention: Make sure your pet is on a monthly heartworm prevention medication. ✅ Check for symptoms: If your pet is coughing, has difficulty breathing, or seems unusually tired, it’s time to see the vet.
