As summer comes to an end, we're saying a bittersweet goodbye to one of our own. 💙🐾

Delilah first joined CFAH as a high school intern, and it didn't take long for her compassion, dedication, and love for animals to make her an important part of our team. We've had the privilege of watching her grow, learn, and make a difference in the lives of our patients and clients every day.

Now it's time for her next adventure as she heads off to college to pursue Pre-Veterinary Studies! We couldn't be more proud of everything she's accomplished, and we know this is just the beginning of an amazing journey toward becoming a veterinarian.

Delilah, thank you for all of your hard work, your positive attitude, and the care you've shown to every pet that came through our doors. You'll always be part of the CFAH family, and we can't wait to see all that you achieve.

Meet Willa, CFAH's July Pet of the Month! 💕 This beautiful young mama is as sweet as they come. After lovingly caring for her six playful pups, Willa is finally getting some well-deserved time to herself—complete with plenty of treats, love, and relaxation. She has been an amazing mom, and now it's her turn to be spoiled!

🐾🎆 Fireworks Can Be Frightening for Our Fur Babies 🎆🐾

As we get ready to celebrate the 4th of July, remember that many pets don't understand the loud booms and bright flashes that come with fireworks. What feels festive to us can be a very stressful experience for them.

If your furry family member has a history of anxiety during fireworks, now is a great time to plan ahead. Be sure to refill any prescribed medications your pet may need to help them stay calm and comfortable during the holiday. Don't wait until the last minute—veterinary offices and pharmacies can get busy as the holiday approaches.

A few additional tips:
🐶 Create a quiet, safe space indoors
🐱 Keep pets inside during fireworks displays
🎵 Use calming music or white noise to help mask outside sounds
🏷️ Make sure ID tags and microchip information are up to date
