✨🐾 Meet Stitch! 🐾✨

This handsome 8-month-old Golden Retriever had his very first training session today, and he is off to an amazing start as a service dog prospect! 💛

Today he learned two important foundation skills — touch and focus — and showed just how smart and eager he is to learn. Of course, he also made sure to sneak in a few belly rubs along the way! 🐶💖

We can’t wait to watch Stitch grow into his role and continue to shine in training!

Elgin and surrounding area folks, if your pup or kitty’s food dish is running low, come see us at the Happy Hippie V**e Co this Friday, August 15 during their normal business hours from 9 am to 7 pm. One bag of food per family per pet will be available for dogs and cats. This event will be held on the second Friday of each month going forward. The Happy Hippie V**e Co is located at 7846 US 277 Suite 4 in Elgin. Come see us, and get that dish refilled with some tasty kibble!

🐾 Courtesy Post – Bosephus is Looking for His Forever Home 🐾

Meet Bosephus, a handsome and loving 3-year-old (turning 3 this September) Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd/Heeler mix. His owner recently accepted a job that requires frequent travel, and while this was a tough decision, she knows he deserves more time, enrichment, and companionship than she can give.

Bosephus has completed obedience training and knows several commands when practiced. He’s house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and has no accidents indoors. He would thrive in a home with other dogs to play with and keep him engaged.

Because he has a high prey drive, no cats please—if his energy isn’t channeled through exercise and play, he can be tempted to chase.

Over a year ago, Bosephus had some nipping and digging habits, but thanks to training and maturity, those behaviors are behind him. Now, he’s ready for a loving family where he can safely run, play, and be part of the action.

He comes with:

A crate and canvas bed

Plenty of toys and treats

A month’s supply of food

Up-to-date vaccinations

✈️🐾 We’re off on a little adventure! 🐾✈️

Digging It Professional Dog Training will be closed from July 26 until August 12 while we recharge our batteries (and maybe sneak in a pretzel or two 🥨).

🐾 Leave it? Nailed it. Place? Just learned it! 🐾
Today’s training session was a total win! The family’s three superstar pups proudly showed off their “leave it” skills from last time, and we introduced the “place” command—which they picked up like champs! 💪🐶

And of course, we can’t forget Honey, the wise senior dog, who supervised the whole session with grace and a little side-eye. 👵🐾

Watching everyone learn together (with a few tail wags and giggles along the way) is what makes training so special. 💛
