🐕 Update on Tanner 🐕

While a record number of dogs and puppies were adopted from Lou Adopts this year, Tanner was the only one of ours that we brought back to the shelter ❤️‍🩹

Many of you reached out with kind words and encouragement for Tanner. Good vibes, prayers, or positive juju was sent his way as he continued to look for that family that would be perfect for him.

Well guys, it happened 🤗
Last week right before the shelter was closing up for the day, Tanner's family walked in! They knew they were looking for a dog that needed healing because they did too. "Let's go home and heal together." Was what Tanner was told. Literally the perfect match!

A very special thank you to our beautiful and wonderful shelter friend who sponsored his adoption. She is more of a cat person, but she made it her mission to help Tanner get adopted 🥰 Autumn Boblitt, Realtor

Foster has been found!

🚨 We have BIG news 🚨

Several of you have met our sweet Matilda. If you're one of the lucky ones that have been on the receiving end of her excited kisses 💋 and joyful, very strong tail, you know what an amazing survivor she is 💪
Although Matilda is ancient, like old old, she has so much life in her. She can play for hours! Just ask Trooper! He will tell you her energy is unmatched for a girl her age! 🤣But, Matilda has a problem. She has a very large growth on her back leg. It slows her down. It makes it hard for her to get comfortable and relax.
Time for the good news 💥 💥 One of our local vets has cleared her for surgery and agreed to do it for us! They said she is perfectly healthy enough to have surgery. We have found a few sponsors who have agreed to cover the cost, but we have another ask.
Would you be willing to let Matilda recover in your house for a couple of weeks?? Although she likes her shelter friends, a shelter is no place to recover from surgery. If this sounds like something you would be willing to do, give us a call at 502-839-6410
Matilda will be waiting on your call 🤞

Anderson County Animal Care & Control is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a satchel bag found at the Tyrone Boat Dock containing two deceased cats.

At this time, we are attempting to identify the owner of the bag and locate the individual who may have discarded it. Based on the condition and location of the satchel, it is believed the bag may have been thrown into the Kentucky River and later washed back onto shore.

If you recognize the satchel or have any information that could assist with this investigation, please submit a confidential tip by texting 502-680-5024

Any information, no matter how small, may help further this investigation.
