🚨URGENT🚨

Due to unforeseen circumstances our “Little Shelter that Could” in-took 16 canines and 3 exotic birds this afternoon. Please be advised our shelter staff had their hands full prior to this situation and now are faced with caring for 19 more innocent souls with mouths to feed.

BE ADVISED- we are closed for intake until further notice. We ask our community to be respectful and patient as we work alongside rescues and fosters to make room in our shelter for opening back up in the coming days for intake.

How YOU can help-
•If you find a lost animal please do your best to find its rightful owners without the means of our little shelter when possible.
•If you are in the position to foster one of the current dogs in our shelter please text “EMERGENCY FOSTER” to 502-517-2850.
•Donate pet supplies and or monetary donations when able to offset cost of vetting and provide supplies to make our newbies as comfortable as possible.

🐾 Meet Little Gravy! 🐾

Weighing in at a whopping 32 pounds, he’s the heavyweight champion of the cat room! 🏆🐱

This big fella comes with a big personality and an even bigger appetite—so we hope your bank account can keep up with his grocery bill. 😉

All Little Gravy needs now is a loving home (and maybe a shelf sturdy enough to hold him)! ❤️

Hello!
My name is Hazel. I’m about an 8-month-old girl who was turned in to the shelter through no fault of my own, but I'm staying positive! I love to run and play, and I know that with your love and support, I can overcome any obstacle. I’m a little unsure being here, but I have faith that I'll find my forever home soon. I would love to find a home where I'll be cherished and adored. I’m ready to start this new chapter whenever you are, so please come find me and let's begin our journey together! 🤍🐾

If you’re interested in fostering or adopting this beautiful girl, text “FOSTER/ADOPT HAZEL” to
502-517-2850. Let’s get this sweet baby out of here!

A HUGE thank you to Oxbow Meats in Lawrenceburg, KY! 🦴💛

Your generous bone donation brought so much joy to our stray and homeless dogs here in Anderson County. Just look at Agnes — she’s been feeling so stressed in the shelter, but today, thanks to you, we saw her truly relax and enjoy herself for the first time in a long while.

From all of us (two- and four-legged alike) at Animal Care & Control… thank you for making tails wag today! 🐾

🚨 Cuteness Alert 🚨

Meet Dorito (the little bro) & Chito (the little sis) 🍟🐾
We seriously can’t believe these two snack-sized cuties haven’t been adopted yet!

They’ve been hanging out in a foster home, learning all the good stuff—like how to be extra adorable, give the best puppy eyes, and melt hearts on command. 🐶💘

✨ Adopt one = Save TWO lives ✨
That’s right—when you take one home, your adoption fee saves another pet in need. Double the love, double the impact!

📲 text 502-517-2850 if you’re ready for a lifetime of puppy kisses.
