Our daycare and boarding prices will be changing effective April 15th, 2024.

📌 What happens to my old daycare package?
Daycare packages purchased prior to the price change will still be viable until they are used up. New prices will only apply to packages purchased after April 15th.

📌 What if my dog's boarding stay begins before April 15th?
Old prices will be honored for boarding stays beginning prior to April 15th.

With the spring storms rolling in a little early this year, we are taking precautions at both of our locations.

Current weather predictions vary from scattered thunderstorms to hail and potential tornado risks. We will continue to monitor the storm(s) as they develop and follow appropriate protocols to keep all staff and dogs safe.

⚠️ Important Entrance Closure Update for Home Sweet Home West ⚠️

This morning we were notified that our normal entrance will be closed beginning Thursday, February 22nd. A temporary, gravel entrance will be provided for staff and clients to use during this time. The exact location of this entrance and length of time we will need to use it is still unknown. We will update you in the coming days as we learn more.

As of right now, we will still be open Tuesday, January 9th for boarding and daycare. Staff will be present tomorrow regardless of our open status, but we ask for patience as we allow our staff and clients extra time to travel. We will keep you updated as we adjust to the winter storm conditions. Stay safe and if you must drive please do so carefully!

Congratulations to Sgt. Star on his retirement!

Sgt Star invited Home Sweet Home Dog Resort Resort and Barnett Law Office, LLC to train Lawrence Kansas Police Department and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on dog encounters. We enjoyed our time and appreciated his care for our community and our dogs!

What a year it's been! We are so excited to finally share our Home Sweet Home wrapped 2023 and celebrate Home Sweet Home's 19th birthday! We are eternally thankful for our clients and community for making Lawrence such an amazing place. We couldn't ask for better people to grow with and can't wait to see what's in store for next year ❣️

We will be closed for Daycare and Boarding drop-offs/pick-ups on Thanksgiving day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day with reduced hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Our incredible staff will still be caring for the dogs boarding with us over each holiday despite our front lobby being closed.

We hope you all have a safe holiday season celebrating with family and friends!

Meet Cheese Ball, a very sweet and very adoptable boy from the Lawrence Humane Society that comes to see us at Home Sweet Home East! Help us find this happy boy a home 🐾❤️

He has been joining our playgroups once a week and these are some of the things we’ve learned about him so far:
- He is an energetic boy that loves to play and still has plenty of puppy energy to go around
- He's learning how to self-regulate with play breaks
- Likes playing with males and females
- Still learning his name but he's getting better and better each visit!
