Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, courage, and the people who have built this incredible country. 🇺🇸

As we gather with family, friends, backyard BBQs, and fireworks, let’s remember that Independence Day means something different to every member of the family... including the four-legged ones.

While the sky lights up for us, many dogs experience fear, anxiety, and panic. In fact, the Fourth of July is one of the busiest times of the year for lost pets as frightened dogs try to escape the noise. (People.com)

Pet waste is not just a lawn problem. It is a water quality problem. 🐶💩🌧️

When pet waste gets left behind, rain can wash bacteria and other harmful pollutants into storm drains. From there, it can flow into local creeks, streams, and rivers. The fix is simple: scoop it, bag it, and toss it in the trash. Every walk is a chance to help protect local water.

So naturally, we did some math.

America's dogs produce about 10.6 million tons of waste every year. That's roughly 21 billion pounds... or, by our highly scientific back-of-the-napkin calculations, the launch weight of nearly 2,000 fully-fueled SpaceX Starships. 🐕💩🚀

Today isn't about sales. It isn't about clever marketing.

Today is about the men and women who never came home...

Who gave everything so that we could spend this long weekend with our families, in our backyards, with our dogs at our feet.

We get to do what we do because of them. We get to build businesses, raise kids, fire up the grill, and live freely in this country because of the ones who paid for it with their lives.

Okay, dog parents, I just discovered something I didn’t even know existed! One of our customers - with a little help from Schendel Lawn & Landscape - installed a grass mesh right where the dogs had worn the grass down to nothing. I’ll admit, I was skeptical because four dogs can do some serious lawn destruction! But after watching it for three weeks, I’m amazed. The grass is growing right through, and even with their pups doing laps, it’s holding strong - total game-changer!
