We aim to impact the severe overpopulation problem in the south by not only rescuing animals, but also helping through educating the public, community outreach, foster networks, and transport programs. Our building is being remodeled but we aren't letting that slow us down! We are actively saving animals thanks to a network of local foster families. Since we are small and we cannot take every anim

This tiny girl doesn’t have a name yet, but she has already stolen our hearts! ❤️

A kind woman found her all alone on her porch with no mama in sight. Not knowing how long she had been without food, she rushed to get kitten milk, and this little one latched on almost instantly. She is only about 3 weeks old, has no teeth yet, and depends on someone for absolutely everything.

Thankfully, she’s now safe in foster care with the same wonderful woman who found her, and she’s doing amazing! She’ll need bottle feedings every 3–4 hours around the clock for a while longer, but she’s thriving and growing stronger every day.

Second, kitten season is hitting us HARD, and our supplies are disappearing fast. We are desperately in need of:

We also desperately need help with our ever-growing vet bills. Between sick kittens, abandoned animals, and emergency medical cases, the costs are adding up faster than we can keep up.

Meet Hobo (Bo)! 🐾💛

This goofy guy is around 2 years old and is full of personality! Bo loves to play and always keeps us smiling with his silly antics. He seems to do well with our best boy Mustard and may be okay with other dogs. He doesn’t appear to be a fan of small dogs, but he has only seen them through the kennel and hasn’t been introduced one-on-one yet.

Bo came to us during a terrible stormy weekend. We found him lying at our shelter door, soaking wet and looking for somewhere safe to go. Of course, we couldn’t leave him there. We brought him inside, and he made himself right at home from day one.

Bo is fully vaccinated, neutered, and ready to start his next chapter. Unfortunately, he has tested positive for heartworms and will need treatment in the future. We are currently seeking donations to help cover the cost of his care so he can live a long, healthy life.

More than anything, though, Bo needs a family of his own. He deserves a warm bed, a loving home, and people who will cherish him forever.

Becca has officially found her forever home, and we couldn’t be happier for this sweet girl! Her new mom is absolutely wonderful, and we know Becca is going to be loved beyond measure.

It seems like our black Labs are always the ones people overlook, but those who give them a chance quickly discover what incredible dogs they are. They are some of the sweetest, friendliest, and most loyal companions we have. Becca is no exception! With her goofy personality, gentle nature, and loving heart, we know she’s going to bring so much joy to her new family.

Becca is a beautiful Black Lab mix who is almost 2 years old and weighs 41 pounds. This goofy girl has the perfect combination of fun, affection, and good manners!

Becca is a little awkward when you first meet her and may take a minute to warm up, but once she realizes you’re her friend, her sweet and playful personality shines through. She loves to play, make friends, and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and does great with cats, making her an easy addition to just about any family. She’s not messy at all and tends to be a quiet girl who minds her own business, but when it’s time for fun, she’s always ready for a play session with her favorite buddy or a good chew toy.

At 41 pounds, she’s the perfect size—not too big and not too small. Becca has a gentle heart, a goofy side, and so much love to give to the family lucky enough to call her their own.

This scared little girl was found running loose inside Grocery Depot. Thankfully, a very patient and kind-hearted woman took the time to safely catch her and get her to us.

Once she arrived, we discovered she was suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection. She’s now receiving antibiotics and is finally on her way toward a healthy, happy life.

Between her veterinary care and the tiny baby kitten who was recently dumped at our shelter, we’ve already spent over $400. And the truth is, this is only the beginning of kitten season. We know there will be many more kittens coming through our doors needing medical treatment, food, shelter, and a chance to survive.

There are resources available to help prevent this cycle. Low-cost spay and neuter programs are available, including specials in Hattiesburg for as little as $25. We also know several generous people who are willing to cover the entire cost of a spay or neuter surgery for those who simply cannot afford it. All you have to do is ask.

Please don’t wait until another litter is born or another sick kitten is left to fend for itself.

This sweet girl deserves a second chance at life, and with your help, we can continue giving that chance to others just like her. If you would like to help with her care or support our rescue efforts during kitten season, please consider making a donation. Every dollar makes a difference.

DRIVER NEEDED URGENTLY!! 🚗🐾

Kofun got accepted onto transport in Atlanta on June 2nd at 12:00 PM and now we need someone willing to help get him there safely to his forever home! ❤️

We are looking for a driver who can transport Kofun to Atlanta. We WILL pay for your gas and also compensate you for making the trip. This sweet boy has been given a chance at a brand new beginning, and we cannot let this opportunity pass him by.

As staff was approaching the shelter this morning, this little girl was dumped at our doors. Soaking wet. Barely a meow left in her tiny body. Her kennel was drenched from the rain, left with only the tiniest bowl of food and the littlest bit of hope.

She is now at the vet being assessed for her condition. This sweet baby has a SEVERE upper respiratory infection, and being left outside in the rain all night only made things worse.

Our shelter is drowning in vet bills. We are beyond overloaded with the amount of animals currently in our care, but we ALWAYS try to help. We offer food. We offer medicine. We offer support. There was absolutely no reason for this baby to be abandoned like this. If someone had simply reached out, we would have done everything we could to help her safely.

We also want to remind the public that animal dumping is ILLEGAL and considered animal abandonment/cruelty. It is a felony offense, and we will be reviewing cameras and pursuing charges against whoever is responsible for leaving this baby in these conditions.

Now we are once again asking for help. This baby is going to need extensive medical care, and on top of that, we are still trying to cover Buddy’s emergency vet bill of $1,800. We have spent $5,000 in emergency vet bills in the last 2-3 months.

Please, if you can donate, share, or even just send prayers for these babies, we would be so grateful. Rescue never stops, even when our hearts and wallets are exhausted.

🚨 BUDDY NEEDS OUR HELP! 🚨

Our sweet Buddy and his new siblings were settling into their new life together beautifully. Unfortunately, when their mom came home from work, everyone got excited at once and a fight broke out over who would get her attention first.

Buddy suffered several deep gashes and needed emergency medical care immediately. He is currently being treated at Gulf Coast Emergency Vet and has already required stitches.

The emergency visit alone cost $630 just to walk through the door. Right now we have an estimate of $2,000 plus the $630. $2,630. He is staying the night. They are suspecting nerve and muscle damage. They won’t know more until he’s under anesthesia.

Buddy has already been through so much, and now he needs his village to help him once again. Every donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference in his recovery.
