A Home 4 Spot Animal Rescue

A Home 4 Spot Animal Rescue A Home 4 Spot Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) who rescue animals, treat, rehabilitate and re-home. Typically, our medical runs about $5,000-$10,000 a month.

A Home 4 Spot is comprised of many volunteers throughout Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and other outlining areas that take in abused, neglected, medical needs and at risk dogs in their homes to start the rehabilitation process to heal our dogs inside out. Our objective is simple in that we treat, socialize and re-home dogs to homes that we closely evaluate making sure that each dog continu

es to thrive in their new home. We currently operate at thrift store located at 4324 N Decatur and Craig where people can donate slightly used which we are able to sell and in return gives us the ability to help more dogs. These last few years have been extremely hard for charities like ourselves and we have really seen the affects. We hate to turn any dog away and would love to save them all, so any amount whether it be $1.00 to $100.00, helps us maintain our goal to help self sustain our costs and eventually grow our rescue to its biggest potential possible. More times than not, we will help a family who simply cannot afford medical treatment on a dog but without donations, we are not able to continue helping those in need. Our rescue provides training, medical care to our dogs, and education to the public. Our training just doesn't involve the dogs, but the humans associated with the dogs. If we can help an owner find a solution to keep their pet and it is in the best interest for the pet to stay with the owner, then we work closely with these individuals and formulate plans to achieve this. Sometimes it is just as simple as the food they eat and sometimes it involves dog trainers to work closely with the dogs to encourage socialization, acceptable behavior in public and the home. Each volunteer that we accept into A Home 4 Spot is given an application to fill out on our website- www.ahome4spot.com and is required to receive periodic home checks as well as each volunteer must agree to transport the animal to the vet care facility as needed and attend at least two adoption events a month. If for some reason this is not able to happen, we have other volunteers that can help with transport and handle the dog during the events. The goal is to provide a safe, warm home with lots of love to reverse the dog’s outlook on life. most weekends we hold events, mostly at Petsmart - 2140 N Rainbow and Lake Mead, but on occasion we are invited to different establishments that support our work and just want to give us extra exposure. None of our foster parents are paid, however we do provide food and the basic care items for our dogs so volunteers have the tools to successfully care for the placed dog in their home. Because we are a non-profit, we rely on fundraising and charity donations to help us with the biggest expense, our medical. We provide all the shots, microchip, and the spay or neuter plus any additional treatment needed. Our typical adoption fees range from $300 upward to $600.00. This really just depends on the dog's medical needs, the age of the dog, the training needed and of course the breed of the dog. When we reference breed of the dog, it is simply because we encourage people to understand that certain dogs are extremely high maintenance and require more than just routine care so an increase in the adoption cost gives us somewhat of a guideline that this family could afford the needs of the dog with less chance of a return or a "dump". Every family considering adopting a dog goes through a complete thorough process. It begins with a search on our site or other related sites such as Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet or maybe they have seen one of our dogs at an event or a blast on social media. They can inquire many ways. One would be via email, another by phone, by filling out an interest applications on our website and lastly they can also attend our events to meet and greet the dog they are drawn too. We have a very thorough application process that includes a rather lengthy questionnaire, a thorough home check and sometimes several visits and/or play dates. We are in absolutely no hurry to ever place any of our dogs, in fact we believe that finding the right fit for all parties concerned might take more than just a meet and greet and home check. Because of this, our return rate is extremely lower than per say establishments such as kill shelters. Our volunteers are trained and given the right tools to help them determine whether or not the home is the perfect match. Even though our efforts are valiant in this process, we still receive from time to time dogs back into the rescue and we are proud to say that we keep the commitment to the families we adopt out too as well as continue our relationship with them forever.

Dog of the Day: Meet Oliver 🧡🐾

Come meet this cutie at our adoption event tomorrow at Bogart’s on Fort Apache and Tropicana from 9 AM until 12 PM !

Oliver is a 3-year-old, 12-pound Pomeranian with a gentle soul and a whole lot of love to give. This sweet little guy is happiest when he’s by your side—whether that means following you around the house or curling up nearby to keep you company. Oliver gets along wonderfully with both humans and other animals. He’s mostly house-trained and knows how to use a doggy door. However, he does have epilepsy, which means he needs a committed adopter who can stick to a strict medication schedule and ensure he receives routine lab work once or twice a year. Prior experience managing seizures is a must. Oliver would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time—or can bring him along—as being alone can cause him stress. Crates are not his thing; he’ll bark and cry if left in one. He’s a true companion dog looking for someone who can offer him the consistency, care, and closeness he craves. Also, don’t forget—Oliver’s gorgeous coat will need regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best! If you’re looking for a loyal, loving little buddy and have the experience to care for his medical needs, Oliver just might be your perfect match.

Foster Homes Needed!

💛JACK: Meet our sweet ONE-eyed wonder, Jack!
This brave boy is about 4 years old, neutered, and gets his monthly NexGard like a champ. He’s due for his second round of vaccines and rabies shot next week — then he’ll be fully set!

He was found wandering the streets with a badly damaged eye. Thankfully, the eye was removed, and the moment it was gone, it was like a weight lifted — his tail started wagging and his spirit lit up. Since then, he’s been calm, happy, and full of love.

He’s a total softie who loves lounging in his dog bed, relaxing, and — let’s be honest — getting treats. He’s food-motivated and super chill, the perfect companion for a laid-back home.

When found, he teste positive for tick fever, which he’s currently being treated for. He also had some scabs on his body, but they’re healing nicely with care and rest.

This resilient boy may have had a rough start, but he’s full of love and ready for his next chapter — with someone who sees just how special he is.

💛BIGGIE:

Meet Biggie!
This handsome guy is around 1 to 1.5 years old and already neutered. He’s due for his second round of vaccines and his rabies shot next week — then he’ll be all set!

Biggie came to us as an owner surrender after his person could no longer care for him.

Biggie is the definition of sweet! He’s great with people, loves other dogs, and thrives on attention. His favorite hobby? Running happy circles just to show off his joy!

🧡Please fill out a foster application on our website if you can help either of these boys!

🚨 EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED BY FRIDAY 🚨
Nursing mama and her 8 newborn puppies—only ONE WEEK old—will be euthanized TOMORROW if we can’t find a foster. They will kill both the mom and puppies. We need a hero!!!

This sweet but fearful mama has no name, no home, and no one to protect her and her tiny babies. She’s currently at a high-kill shelter and is out of time. We cannot save them unless someone steps up immediately.

We are urgently looking for a committed, experienced foster who can care for this little family starting TOMORROW (Friday).

❗Please do NOT comment unless:

✅ You are ready to fill out a foster application today
✅ You can commit to caring for this family until they are weaned
✅ You can pass a same-day home check
✅ You can keep mama and her babies completely separate from your own pets

This is a scared and protective mom, doing her best to keep her babies safe. She CANNOT be around your resident dogs—for everyone’s safety.

We are begging for only serious and reliable fosters to step forward. Every time we post a plea like this, we get flooded with offers—but most back out or no-show, putting these lives at even greater risk.

💔 This isn’t just frustrating—it’s life or death.
Please don’t wait. Act now.

We provide everything:
🍼 Whelping pen
🥣 Food
🧼 Cleaning & laundry supplies
🧻 P*e pads
🐾 Full vet care

All you need to give is a safe, loving space.

➡️ If you can help, fill out a foster application immediately [Insert application link here].
We are standing by to review apps and do home checks TODAY.

Let’s give this little family the second chance they deserve. Time is running out.

Please fill out an application on our website asap. If you’re an already approved foster please text our foster coordinator directly.

🚨 Calling All Doberman Lovers! 🚨 Foster or Forever needed asap!

Meet Maddie, a sweet but shy 54 lb Doberman who desperately needs a foster home by the end of the week!

Maddie was sadly abandoned and is understandably confused about why she no longer has a family. Despite it all, she’s gentle, kind, and gets along well with other dogs. She just needs a calm, loving space to decompress and feel safe again.

✅ Dog-friendly
✅ Up to date on vaccines
✅ Loves to run and explore – a home with a yard is preferred
🩺 Awaiting her spay surgery

If you have pets in the home, they must be fixed and current on vaccines.

Let’s help Maddie feel loved again. If you’ve got room in your heart and home, please consider stepping up to foster. She deserves a second chance. 💔🐾

Please fill out a foster app if you can help!

Meet Max! The handsome Shepherd is around 11 months old. Max is a little cautious when it comes to trusting new people. It might take some time and patience, but once you've earned his trust, he'll shower you with unconditional love and loyalty. His boundless energy makes him the perfect partner for active individuals or families. But Max isn't just about play; he's a sweet soul who loves nothing more than a good belly rub or a nice cuddle. Max is very smart and is motivated to learn new things. Max is dog friendly and would do well with another confident and playful dog in the home. If you are interested in meeting Max, please fill out an adoption interest form on our website ahome4spot.com.

Meet Eugene! This energetic 5-year-old Aussie/Shepherd mix is ready to find his forever home. Eugene loves to stay active, whether it’s playing an intense game of fetch, going on a jog, or hiking through the great outdoors. His energy is matched by his enthusiasm for adventure, and he’d make the perfect companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Eugene is a bit of a boss when it comes to other dogs, so he might prefer being the only dog in the household or with a confident canine companion. While he loves to play rough, he’s also affectionate and loyal. When he’s not on the move, you’ll find him cozying up on the couch watching TV—he’s got a softer side, too! If you’re looking for an adventurous, fun-loving, and spirited buddy, Eugene might just be your perfect match. Please fill out an application on our website to meet him.

Meet Keeba 1-year-old Chihuahua mix | 15 lbs and for adoption! Keeba’s tiny body holds a huge heart. She survived a rough start — living alone in a shed, eating tortillas just to stay alive — but she’s still sweet, loving, and hopeful. Now safe and healthy, Keeba is looking for a patient, caring family to help her adjust to indoor life. She’s already learning fast (she’s mastered the doggie door!) but needs gentle guidance with potty training. Keeba loves other dogs and would thrive with a social doggy friend. She’s also a little escape artist, so she needs a secure yard and should never be left alone outside. This resilient girl is ready for a fresh start — will you open your heart and home to Keeba?
