Hearts Alive Village is centrally located in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada, and was founded in 2013 because of an intense need to help save dogs and cats that were losing their lives in an overcrowded shelter system. We learned early that our priority for building resources s

hould target preventing animals from entering the shelter in the first place. We offer several supportive services to families such as a pet food and supplies bank, rehoming for pet owners who have passed away or are unable to continue to care for their pets, training resources, temporary boarding for those experiencing a housing crisis or hospital stay, and low cost spay/neuter. Our most recent resource is an affordable veterinary clinic for families struggling to access care with payment options that fit their budgets for those who cannot qualify for conventional credit.

🐾 We could use a little help! Our PetSmart location is running low on some essentials, and our rescue pets would be so grateful for a little extra support.🐾

Right now, we’re especially in need of:
-P**p bags
-Salmon treats & soft training treats for dogs
-Churu-style treats for cats
-Canned plain pumpkin
-Pet-safe peanut butter (as long as they contain no xylitol or artificial sweeteners)

Donations can be dropped off any day between 10AM–6PM at:

Leonidas has been waiting the longest at PetSmart Henderson, and his story tugs at the heart. 💛🦁 This 7-year-old gentleman was left behind at an animal hospital, but despite it all, he hasn’t let that dim his spirit.

He’s social, curious, and always the first to greet you with bright eyes and a gentle head bump. He loves attention, but like any self-respecting cat, he’ll let you know when he needs a little space.

Leonidas would do best in a calm home without young kids and with a slow introduction to other cats—he likes to take his time with new friends. Full of charm and character, he’s just waiting for the right person to see how special he truly is.

Come spend a little time with him, we're open daily from 10AM to 6PM at 286 W Lake Mead Pkwy, inside PetSmart. Let’s help this sweet boy find the loving home he’s been waiting for.

Join us this Thursday, June 12 from 5–9pm at Emerald at Queensridge for a night of wine, craft beer, dancing, shopping, and community—all to support Hearts Alive Village and Pawtastic Friends!
