🚨 $5 FRIDAY: WE DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP. 🚨

We hate that it feels like we are constantly asking. But today, we truly need our community. 💔

Capri has a vet appointment in a couple hours, and we are very concerned she may have a stump pyometra.

From the beginning, we’ve been closely monitoring her distended abdomen, which can make her appear pregnant. Capri reportedly had a C-section/spay performed outside of a veterinary hospital—and unfortunately, we have seen the devastating consequences of these procedures far too many times.

When reproductive tissue is left behind, that residual tissue can become infected and result in a stump pyometra. If that is what we are dealing with, Capri could need surgery—and these surgeries have cost us $1,500–$2,000. 😭

We are already struggling, our vet balance is $792.

We still owe for Chubbs’ final appointment and heartbreaking euthanasia. 💔 His invoice is attached.

Princeton, Jiggly & Ace still need their spay/neuter procedures.

Muffin goes in for her exam tomorrow so we can hopefully get her cleared and ready for adoption.

And now we may be facing another major surgery with Capri.

We cannot take in another dog until we can financially care for the dogs we have already saved. Every single day, we are saying NO to dogs who desperately need us. And it is devastating.

Vet care continues to get more expensive. Even with rescue discounts, every dog means exams, bloodwork, surgery, medications, antibiotics, food, supplements, supplies and more.

We simply cannot continue if we cannot pay these bills.

So today, we are pleading again. 🙏 Please help us get back to YES.

🚨 LAS VEGAS FOSTER + FUNDS NEEDED FOR CAPRI 🚨

Meet Capri 🍫🐾 Our newest breeder surrender that came into rescue last weekend, and we’ve gotten to know just how incredibly sweet and affectionate this girl is. And THAT FACE. 😭❤️

Capri is about 4 years old and has spent her entire life being used for breeding. We also discovered that she is Tortellini’s littermate sister. 💔

Longtime followers may remember Tortellini. We rescued her from the same breeding situation about 2 years ago with horrific ear disease and polyps that affected her ability to blink. She ultimately underwent a TECA and later had her eye removed. Thankfully, she was adopted into an incredible home and has been living her best life ever since. ❤️

It breaks our hearts knowing that while Tortellini escaped at only 2 years old, Capri spent those same two years continuing to be bred. Her body shows everything she has endured—many babies, unprofessional C-sections and a life she never deserved.

But that life is OVER. 🥹❤️

Capri was spayed during her csection and goes to our vet tomorrow to have her remaining stitches removed and receive a full exam.

🙏 WE NEED HELP FUNDING HER APPOINTMENT. We still owe OVER $700 for Chubbs’ appointment last week 😔 and now another vet bill is coming tomorrow. Any amount helps us continue caring for these dogs. We cannot say yes to the countless other dogs like Capri without the funding to do so♥️

🏡🐸 TAKE EM HOME TUESDAY: TOAD 🐸🏡

Toad is our longest-waiting pup in rescue. 💔 He came to us at the end of MAY after we saved him from the shelter’s euthanasia list — and he is STILL waiting for his forever home.

When Toad arrived, he was extremely emaciated, had deformities in all four limbs, and it was obvious this little guy had never experienced the life a dog deserves.

Today, he’s a completely different dog. ❤️

Toad is approximately 4 years old, teeny tiny and is silly, goofy, playful, affectionate and OBSESSED with his person. He wants to follow you everywhere, sit in your lap and cuddle on the couch. His legs have improved tremendously with proper nutrition and mobility, but he’ll always have his adorable bow-legged cowboy walk. 🤠

Toad is NOT your hiking or long-walk buddy. He’s your couch adventure buddy. If you work from home, are retired, or want a little best friend attached to your hip, Toad may be your guy.

🐶 Toad IS dog-friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs, but he can become protective of his human. Ideally, we’d like him to be the only dog or possibly live with an older, calm, aloof dog. He can absolutely still have doggy friends and playdates! We simply want his next home to be FOREVER.

Toad also has a compromised airway due to his palate and very squishy face. After consulting with his doctors, we agreed palate surgery isn’t worth the risk at this time. Otherwise, he is healthy — he simply needs a calmer lifestyle without strenuous exercise or overheating.

🏡💕 TAKE EM HOME TUESDAY: MAMA 💕🏡

Mama has been in rescue for FAR too long, and we are so ready to find this short-legged queen her forever home! 👑🐾

Mama came into rescue in June with her mother. Both were breeder surrenders, and at approximately 3 years old, Mama is finally getting to experience what life is supposed to be like when it’s all about HER. ❤️

And can we talk about those legs?! 😂 Mama may have the shortest legs of any Frenchie we’ve ever seen. Her tiny, stout stature somehow makes her even more adorable.

Mama is a super sweet, joyful girl who LOVES everyone she meets. She’s doing great with potty training and crate training, loves playing with her balls, enjoys walks when the temperatures cooperate, and is overall a happy, healthy girl — although she could stand to lose a couple pounds. 😉

There is one important thing to know:

🐶 Mama wants to be your one and ONLY.

She currently lives with other dogs and does okay, but she is a very dominant girl who prefers having her space and her person to herself. To set Mama up for success, we are looking for a home with NO other dogs.

But if you’re looking for one amazing dog to be your everything, Mama is a pretty great choice. ❤️ She’ll be your ride or die, couch buddy, walking companion, ball-playing best friend and loyal little shadow.

🏡✨ TAKE EM’ HOME TUESDAY: JINX ✨🏡

We are truly NOT sure how Jinx hasn’t found his forever home yet… other than the fact that he’s not a bulldog. 😭 Because this puppy is quite literally PERFECT.

Jinx came to us from the shelter in June at about 6 months old. He had a cherry eye but was otherwise healthy, and we worried he’d be adopted by someone who wouldn’t get it repaired. So we pulled him, got him neutered, fixed his cherry eye, and he has been THRIVING ever since. ❤️

Now approximately 8 months old, Jinx is the whole package.

🐾 Under 30 lbs & shouldn’t get much bigger

👧 Kid friendly
❤️ People friendly — he LOVES everyone

He’s genuinely a perfect little gentleman. He holds his potty, only goes outside, settles beautifully in the house, and could probably fit into almost ANY family.

His one little work-in-progress? THE LEASH. 😂 Jinx experiences sheer, uncontrollable JOY when he realizes he’s going for a walk. His foster has worked hard on his overexcitement and he has improved drastically, but his adopter will need to continue giving him guidance and regular walks to help him perfect those leash manners.

And… that’s it. That’s his “downfall.” 😂

This girl is the reason I started this rescue, a heart of gold, used for breeding her whole life with no hope for a life on a couch for 4 years… until now.

🚨 IMMEDIATE FOSTER NEEDED — LAS VEGAS 🚨

We are scheduled to pick up this 4-year-old female French Bulldog TODAY at 2 PM, and we desperately need a foster home ready to welcome her. 🙏🏼

If you watched our live last week, you may remember us mentioning a request to take in two dogs — a fluffy English Bulldog and this sweet girl. Unfortunately, the English Bulldog was given away before we could help, but we are moving forward with saving her.

And we NEED HELP.

Those of us running this rescue are overwhelmed with the number of dogs currently in our homes. We truly do not have room to bring another dog home, but we also cannot leave this girl behind.

She has reportedly been used for breeding for all four years of her life. 💔 She is said to be very sweet and, as you can see, dog-friendly. Between the old photo provided and the video, she has also developed what appears to be a hematoma on her ear.

We don’t know exactly how these dogs have been living, but they are clearly spending time outside. As much as we wish we could save every dog you see in this video, that simply isn’t our reality. Right now, we are focusing on getting HER to safety.

🏡 WE NEED A LAS VEGAS FOSTER IMMEDIATELY.

We provide all necessary supplies and medical care. What we need from you is love, patience, stability and a safe home.

After four years of the life she’s known, she may need guidance learning how to be a dog in a home — including potty training and household routines. We will support you throughout the entire journey. Watching a dog like this learn what love and family feel like is incredibly rewarding. ❤️

With donations slow and medical expenses high, we have to be extremely selective about the dogs we take in right now. We cannot do this without foster homes.

💔 VERY SAD UPDATE — REST EASY, CHUBBS 💔

We are absolutely heartbroken to share that we lost Chubbs yesterday. 🌈🐾

Chubbs was incredibly sick. Between the serious concern of moving him in such a fragile condition, his existing heart disease, the severity of his pneumonia, and the thousands of dollars it would have cost to hospitalize him for several days, we were faced with an incredibly difficult decision.

We had to consider his quality of life, the risk of putting his already fragile body through more, and yes—the financial reality of what continued hospitalization would cost.

This is rescue. These are the decisions no one sees and the decisions we wish we never had to make.

But this is also a reality faced by families every single day. Veterinary care has become financially out of reach for so many people in our community. When you love an animal desperately but are faced with thousands upon thousands of dollars in medical care, sometimes impossible decisions have to be made. 💔

Chubbs was in a very bad way. He was very, very sick, and ultimately we knew we needed to let him go peacefully rather than risk further suffering.

We know that today Chubbs is breathing freely. No struggling. No pain. No medications. Just running, playing and living the pain-free life he deserves. 🌈

Chubbs was an incredibly loved member of his family, and we are so grateful that rescue was able to be part of his life and help give him a beautiful, loved final chapter.

Yesterday’s veterinary bill alone was over $700, and unfortunately we did not raise enough to cover Chubbs’ bill or the remaining physical therapy expenses we were fundraising for.
