Hello to everybody who is new here 🐛 and to those who have been here for a while 🦋!
I have a few announcements/updates for you.
🐛 Welcome to Emily'sEntomology for those of you who are new! I want to take this time to re-introduce myself. I am Emily, and I started insect pinning and collecting back in 2020 during the pandemic (who knew it would lead me here!). It wasn't until late 2021/early 2022 that I realized people really enjoyed what I was doing. It was shocking to me that people wanted to PAY me for my art! Later down the line in early 2023- I started Emily'sEntomology. I have a small store space in .av on Lancaster BLVD, in California. You can find my displays there in person. In Poppy, I also host workshops, teach others how to do what I do, talk bugs with people- and connect! I'm so glad you're here, and thank you for following my journey. ❤
🦋 For those of you who have been here a while- I am BACK! I took a year and some off for school- but I am glad to announce that I am off of hiatus! As I finish up my Natural Sciences degree this year, I will be posting more workshops and events that you guys can get connected with. This also means I will be creating a BOAT LOAD of new displays! (pshh I know ya'll have gotten bored of looking at the same displays in Poppy for the last year, lol!) And I am hopeful to work on some commission pieces if any of you choose to reach out. I can ship certain pieces, too!
Most recently, I’ve partnered with the incredible team at to share the magic of butterflies at markets and events, sparking conversations about invertebrates and the importance of conservation. Many more interesting species of butterflies are to come in my work, stay tuned!
